Article Marketing - Excelling and Multiplying your Article Marketing

By Gen Wright

You can benefit from article marketing in so many ways. Aside from the fact that it can offer increased online visibility in as little time as possible, it also allows you to promote yourself as an expert on your chosen niche to easily earn the trust of online users. The key to excel in article marketing is to display your in-depth knowledge through your copies. If you do not know the ins and out of your chosen niche or if there are a lot of gaps in your knowledge base, it is unlikely that you'll be able to impress your readers and enjoy maximum benefits from your articles.

Expanding your knowledge base is relatively easy although it will require enormous time and effort. However, you can be assured that it will worth it as you'll easily be able to earn the trust of your readers.

Here are the best ways to expand your knowledge and excel while multiplying your article marketing in the process:

1. Hire a coach or a consultant. Find a helpful and knowledgeable person who have been there and done that. You can make use of his experience and expertise to gain more information about your chosen niche and about article marketing in general. These coaches or consultants usually offer in-depth information and guidance over the phone or through email. To get the most out of this, make sure that you ask the right questions to easily squeeze out the answers that you are looking for.

2. Visit your local library. I know that most people are doing their research online. You can set yourself apart from the rest if you check out traditional books and printed materials that may contain information that are not yet available in the world wide web. Read and learn as much as you can.

3. Invade relevant forums. There is at least one forum for any subject that you can imagine. These sites allow you to obtain new information from individuals who are engaged in the topics that are being discussed.

4. See if you can insert links on your article body. Although most article submission sites do not allow links on the article body, there are now numerous publishers that allow this. Know the terms of service of the sites where you post your articles just to know their rules about links. If possible, insert two to three links using anchor texts.

5. Use effective resource box. The problem with other article marketers is that they ignore their resource box. They think that as long as they put their site's URL in it, they are good to go. Keep in mind that your resource box is where you can sell yourself as an expert as your article body will focus on educating your readers. So, put your name on your resource box and communicate the problems that you solve. Overtime, online users will associate your name with your chosen niche. This can promote easy recall that can lead to increased sales.

6. Length of the articles. As you are writing for people who don't have the patience to stay in front of their computers for hours, it would be best if you keep your articles short (250-600 words). However, make sure that you explain your topic thoroughly and that your readers will not need to check out other resources just to fully understand your chosen topic.

Website Design - 5 Tips to Choose the Right Web Design Agency

By Cheow Yu Yuan

Due to recession, many people are looking to start their own businesses. Most of the start-up companies will spend some time and money to develop websites to increase their web presence. If one is not trained in web design and internet marketing, he or she will not know how to choose the right web design agency to develop their website. In this article, let me share with you 5 tips to choose the right web design agency.

1. Find out how much the agency is charging you. There is no fixed cost when it comes to web design. It all depends on the complexity of the website. So the first thing you should do is to ask how much the web design agency is charging you. You will want to have an agency work for a fixed cost rather than on hourly rate. Working on a fixed cost will definitely save you more if you are developing a website from scratch.

2. Shortlist a few agencies to speak further. By doing a search on Google, you will find many web design agencies offering development services. You should visit their websites and shortlist a few companies to speak further so that you will not waste your time and theirs.

3. Ask to look at their portfolio. Every established web design agency will have a portfolio to show you. So take a good look at the websites that they have done. If the websites are live, ask for the URLs and play with the websites. Shortlist those that produce designs that you love.

4. Conduct a research. After you speak to a few agencies, conduct a thorough research on these agencies using Google to see if there are good or bad comments about them. Another way to conduct research is to contact the owners of the websites that the agencies have produced and ask them about the work.

5. Choose an agency that is located in your city or country. I am not against offshore companies. I just prefer to have a face to face meeting with the team that is handling the project. It is a lot easier to discuss ideas and bring your points across to them. And if anything goes wrong, you are still able to visit their office and rectify the problem.

Your website is your marketing brochure and you cannot afford to have a below-par website if you want to create a good presence online. Therefore, make sure you choose a reliable and capable web design agency to work with.

6 Very Common SEO Blunders

By Steve Weber

Generally I get contacted by site owners after their site is finished and already published to the web. The owner seeks out my advice after the site has been live for a while and still has no sales and/or traffic. I have put together a list of the most common problems I see when evaluating sites.

1. One of the most common mistakes I see is duplicate title tags. (The title tag is what appears at the top of the browser when the page is displayed and is what the search engines display for the first line of the site link in their results.) In other words most, if not all, of the site's pages have the same title tag. Usually it is the name of the business. Search engines place a lot of emphasis on title tags. When multiple pages have the same title tag, the search engines discount those pages' importance.

It is extremely important to title the page with the keyword phrase the page is optimized for. It is best if the keyword only is listed in the title. If that is not possible, at least the keyword should be first. For example: "Small Dog Collars" or "Small Dog Collars - YourSite.com"

2. Although meta tags are given little importance nowadays by the larger search engines, it is possible to misuse them and actually hurt the site. The biggest mistake I see with meta tags is for the meta description to be the same for every page. Pages with duplicate meta descriptions will suffer greatly in the rankings. The same goes for the meta keywords tag. The keyword tag must contain ONLY those keywords found on that page. Also, it is important not to put the same word in the meta tag descriptions more than 3 times. Don't make a list of meta keywords like this: large collars, red collars, small collars, leather collars, nylon collars. Search engines could see this as stuffing keywords. Search engines consider this spamming. It is much better to omit meta tags altogether than to misuse them.

3. Internal linking is often a real problem. Too many links can cause the search engine spider to quit indexing the site before it is actually finished. Google states that a site should have no more than 100 links on a page. I suggest no more than 50. And that is still a LOT of links!

For SEO purposes, the links should always be made with text. Many designers create images for their linking. This is very counter productive for optimization purposes. And along these lines, the navigation system should never be in any form of java script, Flash, or image map. A link with anchor text "leather dog collars" which points to a page optimized for "leather dog collars" is the best method of linking for SEO purposes.

However, do not end up stuffing keywords by having too many links on the same page with the same word or words. For example, don't have half of a page's links like this: large collars, leather collars, small collars, etc. Instead, have "collars" for the heading of the group and then have the links "large", "leather", "small", etc. below. This is not perfectly optimized, but it is better to be cautious than to risk being seen as stuffing keywords by the search engines.

And lastly, it is important that every page on your site has multiple links to it. Pages which have only one incoming link will not be ranked well. They may even be placed into Google's supplemental index. It can be difficult to work a page out of the supplemental index once it is in there.

4. Links to other sites are often a problem too. The days of linking to your friend's hobby site are over. Spamming has become such a problem that the search engines have really changed their algorithms with respect to linking. A dog site simply cannot have links to a totally unrelated site such as a pottery site. I am not saying one single link to a non-related page will get your site banned, but just be aware this can be a problem.

To make it a little easier to tell your friend you can't link to his site, inform your friend that a link from your dog site to their pottery site will do their pottery sight no good whatsoever. Although incoming links are extremely important to a site, the incoming links MUST come from sites with a similar theme. It is great for your dog page to get a link from dog training, dog breeding, dog nutrition, and dog house sites. A link on a computer website to your dog site won't benefit your site at all.

Many new site owners may also fall prey to scams which promise "thousands" of incoming links for $29.99. There is a good chance these scammers will use what are called link farms. The search engines consider link farms to be spam. Always remember, there is no free lunch!

5. Another scam which new site owners often waste money on is paying money for submissions to "hundreds" of search engines. There is simply no purpose in submitting to even dozens of search engines. When I create a new site, I simply submit the site to the group of directories I have listed on my site. Within weeks, sometimes days, my new site will be indexed by the top search engines. I never even bother submitting directly to any search engines... not even Google or Yahoo. It doesn't hurt to submit to them, but it works just as well to get links with the directories and by posting some articles with your site's link to article directories.

Additionally, offers of "Guaranteed Inclusion" in search engines are complete scams. Anyone can get a site included in all the top search engines. But getting listed on their first or second pages is going to cost you more than $29.99. It is going to require work!

There are two ways to get great listings in the search engines. One way is to learn basic SEO skills, do the work yourself, keep learning about SEO, and keep tweaking your site as it works its way higher and higher in the search engines. The other way is to spend enough money to hire a professional Search Engine Marketer. For a small site, be prepared to spend $500 or more.

There really is no in between. Do the work yourself or pay a professional. Any money spend in between will generally be wasted.

Launching Your Online Marketing Strategies

By Gen Wright

If you have a business, there are lots of different ways to promote it and make sure you get customers. Having a website is of utmost importance, and by using some of the many online marketing methods available, like blog marketing and article marketing, you can be sure to get a lot of visitors coming to your website. Having the right mix of marketing tactics can eventually lead to increased sales and to the success of your business venture. Here are some of the best online marketing strategies you can use:

Blog Marketing
With blog marketing you can start a blog about anything related to your company. You can market your business by giving people advice and tips. People always want to get more information or learn something new, which is why blog marketing works so well. Once you get people returning to read your blogs on a regular basis, you will have built quite a fan base for yourself. Leaving comments on other people's blogs with a link back to your blog will also get you some links.

Blog Marketing also allows visitors to get to know a real person in a company. This kind of "intelligent brand marketing" gives your company an element of a human-ness on your marketing campaign. People like to interact with people, and having a blog gives you that advantage. Also, having a blog allows you to give your personal opinion on any given subject matter and also allows the author to appear as the expert.

Micro Blogging
Twitter is the biggest. Micro blogs allow you to get short bursts of information out to a loyal following. This is great for promotions and other time related marketing tactics.

Social Networks
Using social networks is another way to attract customers to your website. Your friends have friends that will also be able to see your public page where they might find something interesting. Likewise, friends can invite each other to join groups. You can create a group about your business so that people can see what you do and join to be kept updated.

Directory Submissions
Using business directories and community business web pages is another great way of doing advertising. You might find a few directories that can add your website address to their list of online businesses. In this way, people looking for something specific that you happen to be offering will find you easily.

Banner Advertising
One of the most effective forms of online marketing is banner advertising. These advertisements will be placed on other people's websites. You have to do some research to find the sites where your ad will get the best results. These advertisements can be quite costly, especially if you want to have the best possible presence on the home page of a major website.

Email Campaigns
An email campaign is a perfect way to target specific people for a business or product. You should get help setting up an email marketing campaign because you want to make sure that people read them. You also want to make sure that they do not come through as spam. This is why using a professional sales page or email campaign manager would be a good idea.

Link Exchanges
Another good way to get marketing for your business is to use various link exchanges. This will also help the page ranking for your website on the various search engines. The more websites you are listed on, the more chances there are of customers finding you.

Press Releases
You can submit a formal press release to a press release site that mentions your new blog or website or any new products or services you may have. These press release websites will distribute your release to many other PR sites. Hopefully, you will get links from these press releases. Some PR sites are free and others aren't. Look online and see what's best for your business.

Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising
Pay per click advertisements usually appear in a colored box on a search results page. With this form of marketing, you buy search engine traffic based on relevant keywords that you buy in an auction. You are paying for every click, so it's important to target your keywords. Over time, PPC can be costly and if not monitored closely, can be more costly than traditional Search Engine Optimization techniques.

Article Marketing
With article marketing, you write interesting articles about various aspects of your business and submit them to article distributions sites. These articles contain an author resource box at the end that usually has a link to your website. When different sites pick up your articles, they must keep the resource box intact so if someone finds the article interesting, they can click through to your website. The more interesting and valuable your articles are to your readers, the more traffic you could get.

Using these various marketing methods to promote your business is a sure way to get inbound links. You can make quite a lot of contacts through many of them and eventually get more customers coming to your business. You can try one method at a time, adding another when you feel comfortable or try them all at once. Any way you do it, using these methods will get potential customers to your website and hopefully, ordering your product or services.

The Benefits of User Generated Content

By Helen Walker

In today’s evolving web, consumers want to be more involved with the products and brands they purchase from. These types of consumers have been nicknamed, “prosumers”, entering us into an era of prosumption. The voice of these consumers come through in many forms of user-generated content (UGC), such as blogs, product reviews, testimonials, tweets, Yelp reviews, ratings, etc.

As any SEO expert can attest, these types of UGC can be used to improve the organic search results and conversion rates by many websites who are online for business purposes. Before you leverage UGC for your online business, take note of these benefits so that you can make the most educated and informed decisions.

UGC can benefit a company in several different ways. It can be very precious and free content for your site that will feed search spiders well. It is also a great source of information for any unique visitor to your site. They will be able to understand how your products and services can better help solve their problem. It is also reassuring to know that real people have solved their problems as well.

Consistent and quality user-generated content can also help create a community environment, empowering these content creators to feel like they not only used your service, but are contributing to its implementation toward other people in need.

Some of the most popular forms of user-generated content are: ratings, reviews, lists, customer images, tags, discussion forums, blogs, and social networking.

Some companies who utilize the benefits of UGC will offer incentives to those who continue to come back with more reviews. These UGC creators can become a “trusted” user of your product and service and may carry more weight with their comments than others.

User-generated content, however, is not risk-free. When a website allows users to submit content, they run the risk of being attacked by competitors, unsatisfied customers, spammers, or unscrupulous people. You also lose some power over what is being published on your site.

It is recommended that you develop a user guideline and offer it to any contributors. This gives you moderating power and the ability to efficiently handle any challenge that may present itself in the advent of a nasty contribution.

You can use similar metrics to UGC that you use to evaluate any SEO efforts for your site. It is recommended that you focus on these four areas:

1. Content quality

How many pieces of content have been created and what level of quality do they measure up to. If there are tons of misspelling, profanity, bad grammar or unnecessary slang, it may be time to erase that user.

Content linkability

Is your UGC interlinking the content on your site? If the UGC is improving the navigational ability for your visitors to find what they want, you are on the right track.

Content Strength

Is the content keyword-optimized? If so, how can you optimize that particular post? Take these in consideration when monitoring any contributed content.

Content Conversation

What is the conversation that is happening about? Are they satisfied with your business? This is a great way to gain constructive criticism and improve your business overall.

In this increasingly digital era, the power of the online brand and business falls more into the hands and voices of the consumer. These prosumers want to be heard, whether it be to evangelize your brand or bash it into the ground. Either way, it boils down to how good you are at what you do.

You can have an excellently built site with optimal SEO tactics, amazing navigation and very useful content. However, if your product or service leaves everyone unsatisfied, you should focus on changing your business fundamentals. If UGC is bringing you in tons of traffic and conversions, your momentum will carry you far into this century.

Web Designer vs Web Template

By Joan Culbert

Many of my clients ask me about website templates. I have had to give some thought to that question. Yes, there are many website templates available, some are free some are not. Some guide you through simply while others require extensive software and experience to design and manage.

Deciding on a web designer as opposed to a web template is a decision you should make based on your needs, your expertise and how you value your time.

With the rapid development and growth of the Internet it is becoming clear that a web site presence is an important factor in the development of your business. The extent of your website needs will help you to decide which is best for you.

The importance of having a unique and individual website is an important consideration in deciding on your website needs. Do you have a vision in your head you want to share with your clients, potential clients, and the rest of the world. How important is your business to you and in turn do you want your website to reflect that. If your website and your business image are important to you and you intend to grow and develop as a business and you want your website to reflect that, a professional web designer will help you to accomplish that.

A professional web designer will work with you to create a custom web site based on your needs and your clients and potential clients needs, and will help your website grow as those needs change and grow. You will get exactly what you want as a result of custom web site development.

Cost is another that new business owners use to justify using a website template. How important is your business to you when taking cost into consideration. At this point, it is best to look at the long term. A web template will be instantaneous and inexpensive, but over the life of your business, will it be flexible enough to serve your needs and will you get your best bang for the buck.

As a new business owner you may not have the time required for the commitment required to update and maintain the changing needs of your website and it is a huge commitment. In addition, not all website templates are flexible enough to allow those changes.

And finally, with a template you are probably on your own for your SEO, Search Engine Optimization, which is an important part of your website presence. If no one can find you, your site can’t do its job.

It is important to clearly define your needs and the image you want to portray when making this very important decision.

How To Create And Sell Your Own Ebook In Nine Easy Steps

By Andrew Cocks

Veteran internet marketers will be quick to tell you that you need your own product if you want to make it big in the world of online business. This may intimidate some people because the thought of creating something new is treading into foreign territory. It is actually quite easy.

In the case of ebooks for example, which are the most popular products to sell on the internet, you can create and successfully sell ebooks in nine easy steps. The first step in the process is to select a topic. It makes sense that this is a critical step because you will be writing about a topic that must contain a degree of expertise. More importantly, the topic you choose should be on something that people are hungry for and that has a scarcity of information, as this ensures the desirability of the product you will eventually create.

Doing your research will be the next step in the process, along with creating an outline beforehand. This is the secret to efficient ebook writing. Not only will an outline force you to organize your thoughts, which in effect lead to a more cohesive and easy to read ebook, it will simplify the actual writing process by eliminating details that should not be included in the first place.

Fill up the parts of the outline, or as it is called fleshing out the information, to make a fuller base from which to give the ebook its body and commence with the writing process. You will no longer have to write aimlessly when you are following the outline previously finished. Go back and look at parts of the outline and elaborate on them based on what you have researched. Following these steps should make it easy and fast to finish a thirty paged ebook in a day or two. Remember to flesh out that original outline with details and pertinent information. You may have more information to add that could make your ebook better, even if it was not in the original outline but try not to get off the topic because that defeats the purpose of your previous work.

Another add on for the ebook may be graphics, if needed, or tables, illustrations and photos. As you can see, there are many points of interest that can enhance an ebook, improve the conveyance of information you wish to share and increase the perceived value of your digital product.

Create a highly attractive, professional looking digital cover and provide a few pages as a sample. People will not be able to gauge the quality of your ebook, so give them something that they can use to determine how good your work is and the cover will make a buyer want to see more. This is the first image they will see and it will get them to be curious to what is inside the cover. After all, they will be investing money in your product. Here is an opportunity to begin building repeat customers for your business. On the internet, ebooks will be judged on the merits of the cover that represents them. It is the only immediate visible aspect to the ebook and hence a decision will be made quickly as to be interested or not.

The next task in creating your product is to write a compelling and convincing sales page. A sales page is your twenty four hour, seven days a week, salesman in cyberspace. Crafting a sales page requires excellent copy writing skills, as the difference between a successful sale and a lost prospect can boil down to the choice of a single word. If you have meager copy writing skills, it may be best to hire a professional, proven copywriter. The services supplied are not cheap, but the investment will be worth it as you continue to create that perfect product and the sales come rolling in.

Enroll yourself and your finished product with ClickBank. Here is an affiliate network that makes it easy for online publishers to make their works available to hundreds of thousands of affiliates to promote. ClickBank will take care of everything, from the processing of orders, to the payment of the affiliates commissions. Your job is to host your sales page somewhere, including the ClickBank provided link as your payment URL and submit your sales pages URL to ClickBank.

Implement applicable online marketing techniques, even though you have affiliates and they will be promoting your ebook, this does not mean that you should stop promoting the same, by article and forum marketing, advertising and link building, to ensure the success of your ebook by actively pursuing available channels.

Going the Extra Mile for Your Customers

By Richard Krawczyk

Going the extra mile for your customers requires you to offer something extraordinary to them that they did not expect from you. This definitely gives you more business. If you want to achieve your goals in business, putting one hundred percent of your capacity is not enough. You have to perform little extra to outperform others.

What distinguishes successful people from others? Most people do what they want to do. On the other hand, successful people do what is needed to accomplish the goals.

Do It with a Smile

When you enter a store to buy something, you find the employees with sad faces, without showing any desire to attend to you. How would you react? Chances are you would leave without buying a single item. On the contrary, smiling faces with zeal and innate desire to attend to the customer makes environment conducive for buying. If a customer does not feel that shopping in your store is a pleasant experience, they will leave and go to your competitor.

Same rules apply to the online business too. Put an extra effort while designing your website. Make procedure for taking orders very easy. Customers are happy with as minimum the number of clicks as possible, to get information about your product or service. Statistics show that customers should make no more than two clicks to be able to make an online purchase.

In online businesses, visitors to your website expect free information. Make your website user friendly. This makes you more credible and reliable. Nothing can impress potential customer more than free and forthright information.

Delivery

Delivery also needs to be very fast. Customers should be able to receive the products without any delay, after making payments. Offer the option of how he would like the product to be shipped. Surprise your customer by delivering their product faster than advertised. As an example, if you advertise that the customer will receive the product within ten business days, make sure they receive it well within five business days. This will create an incredible amount of goodwill with the customer and they will be more apt to purchase from you in the future.

A complaining customer is an opportunity, if you wish to go that extra mile. Attend to him with a smile on your face. Solve his problems at the earliest possible. Thank him for bringing the complaint to you.

This converts an unsatisfied customer into a person who has faith in you. His word of mouth praise may bring in many potential customers.

Article Marketing - A Great Strategy To Promote Your Business

By Gen Wright

Promotion is an important part of any business; you need to let potential customers know about you and your product. Article marketing is a strategy that will increase your exposure to the people who will want to buy your product or service. Articles written about your industry will help to establish you, the author, as an expert in your field, and can be published in print media and online.

Customers have a preference for doing business with someone they are familiar with, and article marketing is an ideal way of getting your name out there. The content of your articles needs to be useful and relevant to your target market. Articles that are informative, interesting and provide solutions to your readers are tremendously helpful.

If writing is your thing, then do your own articles. If not, there are several sites online where you can connect with writers who are eager for work. Choose someone who uses good grammar and spelling skills, and who can write in an informal and conversational style that is easy to read. Your name will appear as the author on these outsourced articles, promoting you as the expert.

These articles are meant to inform and add value to you and your product; they are not blatant sales letters. Online publishing sites wouldn't publish sales letters anyway, and print media would avoid them as well. To establish your credibility, you need to give something to your readers, not blast them with sales talk. Don't ever forget, the reason they are reading your articles is for the information.

Web and ezine writing is very different than writing for other off-line publications. Brief is better. Be concise and write in short paragraphs. Your main purpose is to capture their attention and to get them to visit your website. If your article is long with every piece of information, they won't see the value in clicking the link to your site.

You should always check for spelling and grammatical errors before submitting your articles to directories. These kinds of errors will reflect badly on your reputation and credibility as a quality information provider. Try to avoid technical language, but provide an explanation of terms if they need to be included.

Put the major benefit to the reader in your title. The title will determine whether or not the reader will click to read the article and possibly click to visit your site. If they aren't compelled to read the article, they will never get to see your link, or see your website.

Article directories are the sites where you submit articles for online publication. They check your articles to make sure they comply with their guidelines before they publish them. And though we won't go into it here, print media, like newspapers and magazines, are also always looking for fresh copy, so you can also submit your interesting articles to them for publication.

Make good use of the resource box under the article; this is where you can promote your product and supply contact information. What you include here should encourage readers to click to your website. The best resource box describes your website or yourself in a short sentence and includes at least one link that points back to your website or blog. When the reader clicks on the link to your site, your website visibility will increase.

Remember, a brilliant article with a bad resource box is a waste of time and money. Carefully review the rules for resource box information for each directory you submit to and try to get in as much information about yourself as you can.

If you can, place links to other articles you've written in a new article you're writing. Sometimes, if the advice is helpful, the ezines will let you do this. This cross-referencing will get you more bang for your buck. Before publishing them elsewhere, you should always add your articles to your website or your newsletter. This helps to identify you as the source of the information and is another good way to get your name out there to build relationships with potential customers.

Articles for online publication need to be written with search engines in mind. You need to use the most popular keywords that online users type into their search engine when looking for information about your topic. Use the keywords in your article, but do not saturate it with them. This ruins the readability of the article and will not add to your credibility at all.

Set up a blog to keep in contact with customers and interested contacts. You can upload your articles to your blog to give your readers a continual supply of interesting, informative articles about your area of expertise. Add new content frequently to keep the search engines interested in your articles. Use your blog as another means of promoting your product and yourself as trustworthy and interested in your customers.

Article marketing is probably one of the easiest and most effective ways of driving targeted traffic to your website and boosting your exposure on the Internet. These guidelines will help you get started in article marketing. Use them to promote your product or service and to establish yourself as an expert in your field, then watch your sales increase.

The Basics of Internet Marketing

By Darren Self

This article will be having a look into 3 basic elements an affiliate marketer should have in order to rapidly improve success.

The first is a website. This is very easy to set up but provides you with some real estate on the web. Spend some energy making it look professional and at least to a good standard. If you are recommending a product as a consumer who purchased and was very happy, then you may want to keep it more personal like a blog. Try to make it user friendly and be careful of stuffing it with too much information and too many links. You want to make it clear what the person should do whether it is signing up for your list or clicking a link for the sales page.

There are two basic approaches you should take when setting up the site. The first is to build a review page which looks at the benefits and weaknesses of a few products in the market. Make these as honest as possible and choose the best performing product as your number one selection. The second approach is to softly sell the product from the point of view of a consumer who had a good experience with it. When the visitor clicks onto the product page they will have warmed to it from the beginning.

The second element to think about is incentives. There is a great deal of competition on the internet and in order to stand out you need to provide more value than the other affiliates. There are a number of ways to do this and it is important to track and test each one. One option is a free incentive if somebody purchases through your affiliate link. Offer an e-book or audio series that will enhance the product in some way. The second is to get visitors to sign up to your email newsletter where you can gradually sell them on the product over time.

The third element is traffic. If you cannot get visitors to your site then you will not make any sales. There are a number of options available to you and each has their merits. Paid traffic can be effective but you have to test to see if it is profitable or it can get out of hand. Set up a pay-per-click campaign and send visitors by building an effective advertisement. As long as you are not paying too much per click and the traffic converts, you will have a success on your hands. Also you should try search engine traffic. To do this you will need to get a number of links from other sites so you rise in the rankings. You can achieve this with article marketing, link exchanges, web 2.0 sites and forums. This is more work but the traffic is free.

These three elements are just the beginning but if you can master these then the rest should come very easily to you.

Website Maintenance Plan for Smooth Site Functioning

By Alan L Smith

Website maintenance is a very broader term by itself involving revision, editing and change of certain web page's features or elements or keeping them fresh and up-to-date. Even deletion of older web pages or addition of new ones are part of website maintenance procedure. Customers that re-visit your website always look for something new to explore in your site, it may be even addition of an article too!

Every website visitor and customers require prompt response to their query, questions, suggestions and comments. It can be related to any complaint, important issue or any product/service. Maintenance of such customer care services is also the part of site maintenance process.

In order to keep a website online running smoothly, you have to pay a certain amount of monthly web hosting fees and also money for annual domain name renewal of your site. Keep your site dynamic in nature and don't keep it static, introduce new developments, products, services or content on regular basis. You can also launch new promotional online campaigns for greater interest creation. If you want to get your website be maintained in a professional manner, then you have to hire a good website maintenance service provider and pay them accordingly.

A website that keeps on changing their features or elements maintains a fresher look. When you add any new product or service to your site, it always attracts the attention of the visitors. You may be worried about the cost of these services for maintaining your website. There can be two practical ways that can keep check on the total cost and also give positive outputs. While preparing an agreement with your web designer include maintenance plan also in it. Here your designer would do the minor online changes when required. But before that you have to check out whether they can do it in your budget or not. Another option is to train any employee from your company in it. The Best Online Marketing Method Ever

By Andrew Cocks

The best thing about internet marketing is the many ways by which you can advertise your business to a global audience. Most of these methods are free. Yes, they will not even cost you a single cent. One of these fantastic techniques which many say is actually the best one there is, is article marketing.

Article marketing is a simple, cost-efficient, highly effective online advertising method that is capable of producing immediate results and long term benefits for your business. If you are running an internet or an offline business and you wish to establish an online presence for the same, then article marketing should be the first missile you fire.

Article marketing is a simple strategy, which makes it very popular. We can even summarize this method in 3 simple steps. Write a highly informative article, around 350 to 700 words in length, relevant to the subject matter tackled by your business. Include a resource box to your article, one where you will briefly describe yourself and or your business in an engaging manner, and where you will leave a link to your website. Submit your article and your resource box to the many article directories on the World Wide Web. Believe it or not, there are 14 year old kids who are earning more income than adults. Their secret, is an incessant article marketing campaign.

Experts can actually summarize internet marketing into two words, link building. For them, it is about spreading your website’s URL throughout the internet. The more web pages linking to your website, the higher your website will rank in relevant search engine results. Considering that 80 percent of the traffic you can generate for your website will come from the search engines, article marketing immediately becomes your number one weapon in dominating your market.

You may ask yourself why this is the case. Once your article is published by the article directories, webmasters from all over the internet will pick up the article and publish it on their web pages. They can do this provided that they will likewise publish the resource box intact, and your resource box contains a link to your website. Hence, if 5,000 webmasters pick up your article and publish it, you will have 5,000 web pages linking to your website.

In internet marketing, it is important to pre-sell the product you are promoting. Pre-selling refers to tecniques which condition the prospects mind to buy the product without asking them to do so. Talk about your fantastic experiences with the product and share your excitement about the release of a particular product can also be considered as pre-selling. Brand yourself as an expert and share amazing, highly valuable information via articles, and such can also be considered as pre-selling. Best of all, you will have people clinging to your every word, trusting any product that you will eventually offer.

12 Tips for Designing a Successful Vacation Destination Website

By Robert D. Thomson

For the purposes of this article, we will assume that you know how to get your domain registered, how to upload your site to the server and have someone (even if it's your alter ego) who can put the site together with sufficient tech savvy-ness and a little artistic flair.

The tips, then, are not about Flash or Cascading Style Sheets, but about positioning, servicing customers and building the all-important relationships that form the heart of every business. Again, there are many more than this dozen, but you can get a pretty good start with these 12 tips for designing a successful vacation destination website:

Tip #1, Navigation Options: If you are in the business of getting people to "dream spots" around the world, you obviously need to be an expert at navigation. In this case, however, it's navigating your website and not the seven seas that is the first challenge. Clear, simple navigation schemes are a must.

Tip #2, No Media Barrage: Except for some short video clips of a few highlighted destinations, it is wise to keep the animated entertainment to a minimum. Not only will you keep the focus on the destinations, you will keep the pages loading faster, a major concern for web surfers even in this "broadband" era.

Tip #3, Quick Answers: Your site should have a search function to make navigating to the desired information as fast as possible. Also make a general FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) list, and as many specialized ones as necessary, making sure the former is available from everywhere and the latter are available where needed.

Tip #4, Be a Problem Solver: Using your experience in the business, you should be able to anticipate the nature of the problems people will have vis-a-vis travel, from packing and planning to jet lag and diarrhea. Be quick, clear and accurate with your suggested solutions.

Tip #5, Trustworthy Source: Again, the tone and style of your site copy is important in creating trust and making your visitors comfortable enough to become customers. Having original "how to" articles on your site will also build your reputation for trust and expertise.

Tip #6, Trustworthy Links: The links that you make available at your site say a lot about you and your business. You certainly do not want to link to competitors, but it is a good idea to list various government agencies (regarding passports, visas, etc.), consumer protection sites and sources of great deals on luggage, clothes and so on.

Tip #7, Sign 'Em Up: Don't let the visitor leave your site without a great, valuable, informative and/or money-saving gift. It's a free one, too – a subscription to your biweekly or monthly "dream destination" newsletter. You can give the latest info on money-saving travel, great resort deals, package discounts and plenty of travel tales from around the globe. You will also be able to ask for referrals to send out the "e-newsletter" to a recipient's friends, family and coworkers.

Tip #8, Testimonials: Have some testimonials from satisfied customers. Another good testimonial would be from a resort or famous hotel, lauding your firm for the way it takes care of its customers or handles its affairs in general.

Tip #9, Be a Leader: Use the shapes, colors, copy, links, buttons and other components of your website to lead visitors the way that you want them to go. There is a whole new scientific discipline growing up around how to "make" people do what you would like them to do at your website, although there are varying degrees of success, of course. Still, as this knowledge is refined, you should use it where you can.

Tip #10, Identify Core Customers: This is a challenge at all times for all businesses. To the degree that you can add to your customer profile and understand the different kinds of people that you attract and satisfy, you may find that the small refinements to your website will have disproportionately positive affects.

Tip #11, Tailor the Messages: Tied in with several other tips (particularly about navigation and leading the visitor, Tips #1 and #9), this one advises you to change the tone and goals of your copy you identify customers' needs and move them in the appropriate directions. Tailoring the copy and massaging the messages are standard undertakings in many web marketing/sales strategies.

Tip #12, Build Relationships: Actually, this could be listed as Goal #1, too, since relationships are key in any business. People really do buy from other people, not nameless monoliths with a logo. Building relationships means building business, period.

You are never "finished" with anything in any business. Products change, services change, technologies change and, most of all, people change. The best you can hope to do is stay abreast of all the many changes, and that takes a lot of work. As you have to do in every other area of life, make sure to define your goals clearly, take a step-by-step approach and keep your fingers crossed. Success is overwhelmingly about working hard, of course, but a little luck can't hurt.

How To Use Autoresponders With Internet Marketing

By Timothy Crane

If you have ever dealt with an online company or subscribed to an ezine or other service on the Internet before, you have more than likely received an email from an autoresponder. Although you may not have realized it at the time, it was probably an email letting you know that the individual you were trying to reach is not available. Even though it appears that someone else sent the message, it was indeed sent from an autoresponder.

Although autoresponders are great for letting others know that you are away, they are even more valuable when used as a marketing tool. If you have thought about selling products or services online or if you already own your own company, you could greatly benefit from autoresponders. In the world of Internet marketing few tools and programs can compete with an autoresponder.

As many Internet marketers already know, autoresponders are a great way to put your business on autopilot and multiply yourself. With an autoresponder, simply set up your preset messages, and select the schedule that each individual message will go out. When messages go out is entirely up to you, you can send them out on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis. You can also use as many messages as you want, and know without a shadow of a doubt that they will go out to those on your customer list when they are supposed to.

Best of all, you do not even have to touch it. This will save you a lot of time, as your autoresponder will handle virtually all of your email tasks. It will follow up with your customers as well, saving you a lot of time there. If you had to follow up with each and every one of your customers yourself, it could cost a lot of time that you could easily be using for other things even spending time with your family.

Even if your business does not have a lot of site visitors now, an autoresponder can still help you out. Even though you may not think so, it can do a world of wonders. No matter how many visitors you have, you should always strive to capture all the opt-ins that you can. The best way to do this is by providing high quality products and services that will keep your visitors intrigued.

If you keep them intrigued, they will gladly sign up to your list with their email address and their name, so that you can contact them with future offers. Even though may be starting out small, your opt-in list can get really big before you know it.

Once your list has grown, it will easily become one of the most valued assets of your entire company. In order for your list to grow, you will need to answer emails about your products, services, company, and what you can do for your customers. You do not need to spend all day doing this anymore, as you can leave everything to your autoresponder. Your autoresponder can answer all of your email questions and give customers what they want which will help your company grow.

Almost all autoresponders will enable you to send broadcast messages to your entire client list among other things. They will also let you stay in touch with your customers and establish relationships that will keep your customers coming back. No matter how big or how small your company may be, an autoresponder is one investment that is more than worth your money.

Article Writing And Marketing - How To Build Up Your Prospects And Your Name

By Connie Ragen Green

Article writing has become part of my daily process for building my business. When I first started think about using article writing and marketing as part of my business model, I thought that each article was submitted to an editor, like I used to do long ago. On the internet it is a very different process.

Back when I was trying to get my articles published in magazines and journals, I had to follow strict guidelines as to what the topic would be, how many words it could be, and when the issue would appear. Even though the article directories have rules about the minimum word count and the quality of the writing, there is no deadline to meet or editor to tell you that what you wrote was not exactly what they were looking for that month.

I keep my articles very short and straightforward, and teach one thing in each of them. I want my readers to go away with another piece of information that will help them in their quest to build an online business.

The reading level is something else I take into consideration. Most of us just don't have the time or desire to read long, difficult passages that require us to think like an academic. Instead, we want to read articles that can be quickly consumed while teaching us something at the same time.

I keep the reading level at about the ninth or tenth grade, and this works very well. My goal is to get the reader to visit my website or blog to get even more information on how to get started online.

Keep your articles simple. Make the point you want to teach, give some examples, and then come to the end. You notice I did not say to end the article. Your writing ends when someone has clicked on the link in the resource box and visited the site you have sent them to.

If you end the article there is absolutely no reason for someone to click on the link, because you have answered their questions completely and thoroughly. You want to make them hungry for the rest of the information, so a soft ending is best.

I usually just check my word count and then finish that sentence. If my articles appear unfinished, it is because they are. I encourage you to do the same thing and invite readers to your site to find out more of what they are looking for.

How To Choose The Right Domain Name For Your Website

By Robert D. Thomson

How do you choose the right domain name for your website? Choosing the right web address is very important. There are a few reasons why.

The first reason it's important to choose the right web address (domain name) is because it needs to match your company (or whatever your website is for). Let's suppose your company name is Sherry's Flowers. The natural choice for a domain name would be sherrysflowers.com (assuming that name is not already taken).

So what do you do if the domain name you want is already taken? There are two primary alternatives. The first is to choose a different domain extension like .net. For the above example, that would mean selecting sherrysflowers.net. This presents a serious danger, though. Let's suppose you choose the .net address and advertise it. Your customers may forget and still go to the .com address which may bring about confusion, or worse, award sales intended to go to you, to your competition instead!

The other (and probably better) alternative is to come up with a totally different domain name altogether, something catchy that does not even necessarily even use your company name in it. For example, you could do something catchy like iloveflowers.com. This is sweet and easy to remember. And it prevents the issues of confusion with your competitor (in the aforementioned case where your company name is already taken by someone else, as a dot com address).

Another reason choosing the right address is important is because it needs to be easy to remember. If you want word-of-mouth to work well for you, you need your domain name to be something that can be easily shared verbally, even without the need for pen and paper.

You want John Doe (someone’s name, as an example) to be able to say to his coworker, “Yeah, I got great flowers for Jane from Sherry's Flowers; you can get some for your special girl at iloveflowers.com.” Something even slightly more complicated than that (such as getflowers4someone.com) might not only prevent John's coworker from retaining the address, but it may also keep John himself from remembering what the domain was in the first place!

The last but definitely not least important reason to choose the right domain name is so that people can easily type it when they are ready. If you choose a domain name that has too many numbers or strange or complex wording, they simply won't be able to type it correctly. This will prevent a great deal of traffic from reaching your site.

In summary, make sure you choose a domain name that: (1) reflects what you do (and uses your company or website's name, if possible), (2) doesn't confuse you to your potential visitors with your competition, and (3) is easy to remember and type.

A Look at Internet Marketing and Small Business

By Val Olsen

Today, more and more companies turn to internet marketing for promoting their products and services. Even small business owners are now recognizing the potential of marketing on the web. If you own a home business or a small biz, is internet marketing suited for you?

Benefits of Web Marketing

The great thing about the internet is that it breaks distance barriers, enabling businesses to reach out more effectively to their target market. Through the internet, it is now possible for local merchants to introduce and sell their products in the international market. Potential customers anywhere in the world now have the opportunity to buy from online shops located in other countries.

Another advantage of internet marketing is its cost-effectiveness. Traditional marketing strategies are often more expensive compared to marketing over the web. In fact, many online merchants use a number of internet marketing tools for free. Examples of these free tools are press release websites, article directories, blogs, social sites, groups or forums, online classified ads, etc. Nevertheless, this doesn’t mean that money isn’t needed.

Competition among online merchants is also stiff. To be competitive, most online sellers invest a considerable amount of funding to support their online marketing campaigns. When done correctly, marketing through the internet often produces great results for businesses. No wonder why internet marketing is such a big hit among entrepreneurs worldwide.

Indeed, whether you’re a newbie or a veteran business owner, web marketing is an option worth trying. But before you try out this modern marketing tactic, there are some important points to consider.

Some Things to Consider

Before launching an online marketing campaign, you need to clearly define your target market. Ask the following questions:

  • Who are your potential customers?
  • Where are they located?
  • Do they surf the web?
  • If yes, how much time do they spend online?
  • What do they use the internet for?
  • Do they shop online?
  • Do they own credit cards?
To reach your target audience more effectively, you need to know the specific details about them. Remember that although many people use the internet, not everyone does. Although establishing your presence on the web is an advantage, investing a large budget on internet marketing may not be for you.

Thus, conducting a market research or hiring a market research group is recommended. If a large percentage of your target market does not spend as much time on the web or doesn’t use the internet at all, a different strategy may be necessary. Focus on reaching out to your target audience.

For instance, direct mail marketing or marketing with postcards may be a more practical choice of advertising. You can also use postcards to let people know about your presence online. By advertising your website address in your postcards, people can find you more easily.

Yes, focusing on internet marketing isn’t for everyone. Even if you decide that internet marketing is for you, don’t forget to pay attention to your offline marketing as well. When offline and online marketing strategies are combined, you can surely enhance your business performance.

You, Too, Can Be an Ebook Writer

By Scott Boyd

Have you noticed that every time you visit a site on the internet, there are scads of links to information on writing ebooks? That's because these electronically-created books have been gaining rising popularity with online readers, due to their easy access, swift download and reasonable prices. Most of us are way too busy with our hectic schedules to visit conventional bookstores, so ebooks are a more convenient option.

Even famous authors have jumped on the bandwagon. For example, horror writer Stephen King released novellas electronically on the internet, and that stunned the literary world by becoming best-sellers and making huge sales.

Most ebook writers, however, are not famous authors or even experienced writers. They come from all walks of life. Individuals from diverse backgrounds, such as businesspeople, techies, lawyers, doctors, teachers, homemakers, students and other "regular" folks, have written and self-published their own original ebooks. They have been rewarded with generous earnings, as a result, and some have even turned this market as a steady home business.

You, too, can join these authors, all you have to do is write about things you are knowledgeable about. All of us is an expert on something, whether it's about how to build a home from scratch or how to get our cat to use the litter box or how to deal with divorce and the like. There are as many things to write about as there are people. Share your life experiences in your own words with others who are looking for the very information you are offering.

Putting together an ebook may sound overwhelming and complicated at first, but the internet has many helpful tools, tutorials and resources to show you how to write effectively and how to create an ebook that is professional-looking and marketable.

Okay, all that sounds really great, but who in the world would be interested in buying your ebook?

The answer is, "Lots of people."

There are millions of people online and their ranks are increasing daily. While your topic won't appeal to everybody in the galaxy, you can find a niche market consisting of individuals who want to learn the information you are offering. If, for example, your topic is about backpacking through America, people who like to backpack would find it interesting or, if your ebook is about learning to play the guitar in five easy lessons, then people who desire that information will want to know more. Ebooks can certainly have something for everybody.

You'll need to learn about important methods of promoting your ebooks, such as copywriting and internet marketing strategies, since these are pivotal to helping you to become successful. It takes time to become familiar with these techniques, however, so be patient with yourself, as you learn the specifics of having your own ebook internet business.

There are readers all across the globe whose lives could be changed for the better by what you have to say. Writing ebooks is not only a profitable enterprise, but a way to touch the world with your wisdom.

Blog Your Ebook - How To Write An Ebook By Posting To Your Blog

By Connie Ragen Green

Have you considered blogging your eBook? This concept has been around for several years now, but many people do not fully understand the benefits of writing in this way.

After all, if you are truly an expert on your niche topic, you will be able to talk and write about it for hours on end. If you are unable to do this but still care deeply about your topic, make it a point to read and listen to as much information as possible, so that you become an expert.

The first thing you want to do is to set up a blog specifically on your topic. When you are setting it up, create categories that will correspond to the chapters of your eBook. This is key to the process and will require time and thinking on your part in order for you to be successful.

Post to your blog as often as possible. Pour out all of your information into those posts, assigning each one a category that you have already created. When you have posted about 75 to 100 times, you will have enough content to fill an eBook.

When you click on a category on your blog, the posts assigned to that category will all come up. Create a word processing document, and then copy and paste the posts into each chapter. Write an introduction and a resource section and your writing will be complete.

You may need to go back into each chapter and rewrite some of your posts, but other than that your eBook will be finished. Have a graphic designer make an attractive cover for you so that it will be more appealing to your prospects.

You should have set up an opt in box on your blog at the very beginning. This will enable you to collect the names and email addresses of anyone who is interested in your topic. These will be the very best people to market your completed eBook to once it is finished.

You can now take excerpts of your writing and turn them into articles. The articles will then lead people to your sales letter so they can purchase your work if they are so inclined. The articles will work for you around the clock, bringing you many new prospects.

Also, record audios of you reading your eBook, as well as an audio of you explaining more about how the prospect can best utilize your information for the most benefit possible. People learn in different ways, so give them the option of having your content in both a written and audio format.

4 Killer Reasons To Use Emotions For Home Business Opportunity Online

By Ben Needles

It may sound strange, that I recommend to trust on your emotions on such an important thing as selecting home business opportunity online, so it needs a little bit explanation, which is mostly based on my own long experience.

1. All Decisions Are Made By Emotions.

Yes, I strongly believe that all decisions, that we do are done with our emotions, so are also the home business opportunity online decisions. It is hard to admit and it is hard to discover or understand, because our world tries to be so rational.

I believe that if you find out an affiliate program, which has an excellent reputation and many tell how much money they are making with that and on these basis you will join it against your own feelings, you will be in deep problems.

2. How To Measure Your Amount Of Emotions Against Some Program.

Unfortunately there is no meter, which could tell whether some program will fit your emotions or not. So you should trust only on your own feelings. Here are some tips to determine in advance, that the program fits for you.

First impression tells a lot. When you will arrive for the first time on the landing page of the candidate home business opportunity online, just try to research your feelings. Did you like what you saw during the first seconds on that page?

If yes, it is a go ahead sign, the page went through the first filter. Now you have a positive attitude towards the site and you can go on the research.

3. Did The Site Have A Clear Promise To You?

The purpose of every surfing session is to find something useful for your home business opportunity online. When you landed a new page, did it promise you something that interests you or not?

When you went on reading, did you get a clear picture, what this site is about? Was the style interesting and according the style, which you regard good?

4. Do You Like The Marketing Material And The Training Section?

These both are very emotional issues. If a newbie do like the training lessons, its copy style, tips and tools, he is extremely willing to learn everything he can to be able to start his home business opportunity online as soon as possible.

The importance of the marketing material rests on the same facts, a newbie must have a positive mental attitude towards it, so that he will use it later on.

Is it Worth Adding a Forum to your Website?

By Richard Marsh

If you have a website you may be considering whether to add a forum to your website or whether it is just a waste of time and money. This article will look at the benefits of adding a forum to your website for your visitors and for the search engines.

How a Forum Helps your Customers

If you have people that regularly use your website having a forum can be really useful for them. It can help them to discuss any issues about your site they might have, which will in turn help you improve your website. In addition to that, if they have any issues or questions about your products or services, they might be able to get them from your forum. This will prove to be a valuable resource for your customers and will keep them coming back to your website.

The main advantage to this is you have a greater chance of getting sales. The more time that people spend on your site the more important it becomes in their mind and so there is a much greater chance that they will buy from you. The aim of any website should be to convert as many visitors into customers as possible and a forum can really help you do that.

How Forums Help your SEO

Believe it or not but a forum can be a valuable tool in your SEO campaign. The main reason for this is that the search engines will put a lot of emphasis on Forums. If you search for something you want an answer to, you will probably find that a lot of the results on the first page are forums. This is probably because the question has been asked before on a forum and so it is easy for you to get your answer.

There is one thing you need to think about here. It is absolutely vital you get your forum set up by a web developer that understands SEO. This will ensure they set your forum up to be search engine friendly, this will include having a top quality URL structure. You will probably also need to do some work on publicising your forum, but if done properly you should gain top rankings for your forum.

This can be great for your business as you will be getting a lot of people coming to your website for information. If they are able to get an answer to their question then they will have more confidence in your website. This will significantly increase your chances of converting that visitor into a sale which is your ultimate aim.

As you will see from the above, there is a huge amount of value in adding a forum to your website. If you think that a forum would benefit your website then it is a good idea to discuss the issue with your web developer and your SEO company. They should both be able to give you advice on the best way to do it to ensure you get the most out of your forum. If you are serious about making your business a success then a forum is a valuable tool in the battle and can help your website to stand out from the crowd which in this day and age is more important than it ever was.

Is Internet Marketing A Numbers Game or a People Game

By Jason Bacot

Is internet marketing really about the numbers or is it about people? In reality it is about both. Many internet marketers get so caught up in the numbers that they forget the people aspect. If you come right down to it though, internet marketing is about making sales. If there are no people, there are no sales! Those numbers ARE people, and it pays to keep that in mind.

Once we get going in internet marketing, those numbers really start to matter. Our first big number we come across of course is number of sales, and that number one always feels so sweet (send out a kind thought to the person who was number one).

From then on our world seems full of numbers: numbers of keywords, numbers of ad campaigns, ctr percentages, number of landing pages, number of visitors, number of e-mails sent, and on and on it goes, not forgetting of course everyone's favorite – dollars in profit. Yes, we spend a good deal of our internet marketing time in number tracking.

What people really mean by a numbers game is that the more traffic you get to your site or product, the more sales you are going to make. Very simple, very straightforward, and that is what we build our internet marketing business around, whatever the methods we use to drive that traffic. When it comes to getting traffic, that is where we need to start thinking about people.

Good sales copy writers know people; they know how to push their buttons. Sales copy stems in turn from years of research in psychology, (usually not personal research from the writers though), to find out just what people do respond to. Are we conning these people?

That depends how you want to look at it, and some would say yes, we are deliberately; if only temporarily, brain-washing them, but then that is what sales and advertising are all about. For those who have trouble with this simple fact it is probably important to feel you are at least selling a product that you believe really does have a benefit for the buyer – let your conscience be your guide.

Understanding people becomes particularly important when using e-mails and social marketing. Here you are dealing more directly with individuals and I suggest, (without preaching), that for your own credibility you treat them as such.

It just comes down to the old golden rule of "Treat others as you would like to be treated." (Pin that up where you can see it – next to your internet marketing "My goal" post is a good place.)

If you go charging into people's threads on forums, groups and blogs waving your little sales banner around you are not going to win any popularity polls. Have a little respect and appreciate what their forum, group or blog is really for, believe it or not it's not for you to make a sale.

I sincerely believe that if you remember the people first, and treat them well, the numbers you want so much will follow and your internet marketing business will thrive.

Facebook Marketing - How to Market Your Business on Facebook

By Cheow Yu Yuan

Facebook is one of the most popular social networking sites on the Internet today. Now, Facebook has more than 175,000,000 active users. Can you just imagine the traffic you can get by getting your advertising message across to 175,000,000 potential customers?

So the next question that you may ask is how you as a business owner access to those active users? Facebook has a social ads platform which allows you to advertise your business to its active users. With social ads, you can determine the demographic of the people that you want to target. For example, if your business's target audience is people in their early 20s, you can set your social ads to be shown to 18-25 year old subscribers only. This will make your ads extremely targeted and help improve your conversion rate.

Other than social ads, you can also purchase banners to target specific group of people. Banner is a very good advertising method to engage your target audience and get more visitors to your website. Moreover, as Facebook allows you to target your banner to specific users, there is no doubt that this will further increase your ads click through rate and conversion.

Another way to advertise on Facebook is to set up Pages. A Page is like your Profile page. You can create a page for your company and recruit fans. Basically, you can use social ads to advertise your fan page or pass the URL directly to people and invite them to become fans. Setting up a Page for your company in Facebook is an effective way to increase brand awareness and build a network of loyal fans for your company.

The best way to market your business on Facebook is through word-of-mouth. It is easier to sell to someone that you know. So, get to know more friends on Facebook and join groups that are related to your product or service. For example, if you are running an advertising agency, you should join groups like ADMA and IAB. This will allow you to know more people in your industry that share the same passion and interest as you.

When you join these groups, get to know the people personally before you approach them for business. Add them as contacts and interact with them.

Word of mouth advertising is definitely the most effective way to market your business. When it is done correctly, you will see mind-blowing results in your business. So if you are not leveraging on Facebook to market your business currently, you should do it now.

Can You Succeed With a Google Cash Kit?

By Steve Albright

In the past couple of months there have been serious efforts made by advertisers to promote a series of training courses that they call a Google Cash Kit. Similar to most online advertisements, the products are hyped up and make promises of instant wealth with little work. The companies who are marketing these Google Kits have been very successful and there are thousands of people who have purchased their courses.

The average people that they are targeting really do not know much about making money online or even the basics of an ecommerce business. This is why a Google Cash Kit seems like a sound opportunity and chance to learn some new skills and maybe make some money.

This is the kind of reasoning that these companies rely on and one of the factors that make them so good at what they do. However, people should really be aware of what they are signing up for when they order a trial version of a Google Kit. Not all of these programs are legit and forthcoming and some are only after their customers' money with little regard for their success or satisfaction.

The other thing to understand is that once you know the strategies and methods taught in a Google Cash Kit you will realize that you do not have to spend money on it. You can learn the info for free in a series of forums and eBooks that are readily available if you apply yourself.

The reason that I bring up the issue of cost and price is because if you read the terms and conditions found at the bottom of the sales page on a Google Kit you'll see something very crucial. Some of these programs have cleverly disguised the hidden costs associated with signing up for their membership. They tell you that you can have their product for just the low cost of shipping and handling.

However, if you read the fine print you will learn that after you submit your vital info they will start charging you a monthly fee for the use of their program, sometimes up to seventy dollars a month. The other dishonest thing that some of these Google Cash Kit companies do is sign you up for bonus programs that you never even applied for. They make it seem as if they are the good guys in the situation because they sign you up for helpful programs.

For instance, one of the programs they like signing people up for are identity theft protection services which if not canceled will bill you an additional monthly charge. At this point I don't think it matters whether the service is helpful or not, the fact remains that they deceived you into signing up for it.

The moral of the story is that it pays to not only do your research but to make an effort to learn things on your own. Courses and programs are definitely helpful but these days you really have to research who you are doing business with especially when dealing with a Google Cash Kit offer.

How to Create an Automated Wealth System

By Steve Albright

Everyone dreams of having the freedom to live their life without worrying about having an income and paying bills. In fact this dream of an automated wealth system is so prevalent that everywhere you turn online there is someone out there wanting to sell you a system for making money online.

In reality, most of these systems are bogus and are only after your money. They use your desire of an automated wealth system against you. They make outrageous income claims and show you doctored proof to get you to buy into their program.

However, if you do enough research you will begin to see that you do not need these programs to reach your dreams. Most of the information necessary to start an online business can be found online for free. In fact, there are hundreds of very useful forums where members communicate with each other sharing ideas and strategies for success.

They key to developing your own automated wealth system is to create a solid business model based around an online service, product, or info. Once you can determine how you want to enter the online business world the next step is to build a site or blog.

These days blogs are becoming more and more dominant simply because they are very easy to setup. Unlike regular websites, you do not need any programming knowledge. Blogs are ready to go as soon as you register your domain and choose a layout. Now of course the more technical knowledge you have the more specifications you can make to your blog, but as far as functionality is concerned you can easily setup a working blog.

The next step in your quest for an automated wealth system is more difficult. Automated income comes from a web page that is receiving steady traffic and has visitors either clicking on ads or buying products to generate income for you.

So as you can see, the main factor here is generating visitors and internet traffic. Once you have that part down, the wealth part is easy. The way to get people interested in your site and ultimately be the driving force behind your automated wealth system is to provide them with something valuable.

Again this can be a service, for instance a list of something they are looking for or if you are technically apt and can build a website that actually performs a function that's even better. The easier route is to simply provide valuable information to your readers, anything to keep them interested and coming back.

Once you have that, the rest is simple; the steady flow of traffic lets you place high paying advertising banners on your site. You can also select tailored products that complement your content and sell them to your audience.

Once you figure out the right combination for your site, you will truly have an automated wealth system that will keep you making money with very little maintenance and additional work.
