Web Design for Business

By Sameep Shah

Personal web design and web design for business are two completely different elements. If you're just having fun creating your own personal website, then colours and graphics can reflect your personal style and taste and may be a great asset to your site. However, when it comes to a business website, you need to have a professional appearance that is functional and appealing to the exact type of person or organisation you're trying to appease. For example, if you cater to professional business clients, you need a professional-looking site. However, if you're a business that caters to young adults, having a more interactive and dynamic site might be more your style.

Web design for business is largely based on personal preference and industry experience as to what works for other companies. If you're not sure what you need, research similar companies that have successful websites, and use the concepts they have to build your dream website. Don't be afraid to see what your competitors are doing.

You can also consult with professional designers and design companies to get a better feel for what you need if you're less informed on the web design end of starting your business. Often, it's better to invest the money into hiring professionals so that your site turns out to be the best that it can be. It's not that you're not capable, but would you fix your own television or hire a trained professional?

Getting traffic to your website takes more than just great web design for business. However, once you get people to your site, you need to have that little edge that makes them want to stay. They aren't going to want to stay at a site that isn't intriguing, so appeal to your customers. If you're not sure how, put yourself in their shoes, or do a research study, ask friends, family or colleagues to find out what people would like. Sure, all this is going to cost money. However, the investment will be worth it in the end when you have a website that outlasts the test of time and provides you with more business than you ever imagined.

No one can guarantee the success of your website, but having great web design for business purposes is only going to assist you in succeeding. Not having a functional, well designed website is NOT an option in today's fast paced e-commerce society.

Keeping Your Focus on Article Distribution

By Gen Wright

I often see new Internet marketers make this mistake. I too have been a new Internet marketer myself, and I understand how this mistake comes about. I'm talking about losing focus. You see, the problem with Internet marketing is that when you are just starting out, there are just too many aspects of the business that need your attention.

You need to create a website. you need to source for products to sell or create your own products. You need to figure out how to drive traffic to the website. It's an uphill battle through and through. That's why many Internet marketers give up before they see results.

To make things worse, information about Internet marketing can be overwhelming. There are so many different ways to drive traffic. You can drive traffic from Ezine promotions, joint ventures, SEO, PPC, etc. Now you have web 2.0 - social bookmarking and social networking. No wonder new marketers get confused.

The only way to avoid this problem, is to stay focused. That is easier said than done. I see so many new marketers lose their focus. Whenever a new course comes up, they jump on it. They write one article, submit it to a few directories, see no results, and they move on to something else. That kind of strategy is doomed to failure from day one.

The key here is focus. If you are into article marketing, stick with it. Observe what the more experienced article marketers do, and learn from them. Article marketing has been around for years, and there are reasons why it has continued to work for years. Your job, is to figure out what those reasons are.

Even if at the beginning, you can't figure out why, it's ok to just stick with article marketing. After all, there are tons of real live examples of successful article marketers around. They are living proof that article marketing works.

So as you continue to execute your article marketing, learn quickly along the way. Ask questions whenever you can, and if you have to buy a course to shorten the process, buy only article marketing related courses. You don't go off course until you see the fruits of your labor. That is a winning strategy. If you are persistent enough and take on article marketing with tenacity, you cannot lose.

Once you see traffic coming to your site, then things really start to happen. You can test your sales copy. You can sell more products. You can ask for feedback to help fine tune your products and so on.

Once you have tweaked your site and have gotten decent conversion rates, you may then aim for more traffic. How do you get more traffic? That's right, focus on article marketing! Search for new keywords to optimize and keep on writing and distributing articles.

A website with thousands of back links is worth a lot of money. If you can't get the site to work, you can always sell it away so that other marketers pick up from where you left off. That way, you still make money. Your article marketing efforts will never go to waste.

Getting The Right Website For Your Business - The Domain Name

By Ben Needles

This can be achieved as simply as getting your business details listed in an online directory such as yell.com, however to put across a truly professional image it is worth seriously considering having a website designed for your business.

This article will touch on some of the factors that will need to be considered when doing this. So what factors should be considered?

Choosing a Domain Name

The domain name will form the address at which your website will be found. There are two schools of thought in place in relation to choosing a domain name - branded vs. generic and pros to each approach.

A branded domain name will usually relate to your business/product identity, and therefore be a memorable way of getting your domain name into the minds of your customers. This is particularly useful if you anticipate driving traffic to your website through more traditional forms of advertising such as television, newspaper or billboard advertising.

An example of a branded domain name would be www.nike.com. This is a domain name that is short, easily identifiable with the brand in question, and easy to remember. For people looking specifically for this brand, it is very easy to remember and then type in to their browser’s address bar when they wish to visit the site.

However, the drawback about this domain name is that it does not readily identify what the subject of the website is about; this is where the benefits of a generic domain name become apparent.

Generic domain names relate to the actual product/service that your business is offering. As well as being useful in providing an indicator of the subject matter of your website to your human visitors, these domain names also have an edge in another important area: search engines.

Search engines are the method by which the majority of websites receive most of their traffic (or visitors), and the higher your website appears in search engine results the more traffic you will get. In order to be able to get your website to the top few results for your product/service, you need to give the search engines a clear indication of what your website is about, and the domain name is one of the ways in which this can be emphasised.

To continue with our example above, instead of www.nike.com the domain name used might have been www.running-shoes.com. This gives a very clear indicator of the subject of the site, and means that there is an increased likelihood of this website showing up high in the search results for keywords related to running shoes.

In reality, branding is usually viewed as too important a consideration to ignore completely, and therefore an approach that mixes elements of the two is best applied. If we were to offer advice to a young startup Nike Inc. then a domain name such as www.nike-sportswear.com would probably be appropriate. This retains branding indentity, but also enables search engines and human visitors alike to see what products are being offered.

A Word on Top Level Domains (TLDs)

A TLD (or domain extension) is the final portion of a domain name: the .com, or .co.uk. There are a bewildering number of domain extensions available to choose from, but in our opinion the choice should always be simple.

If you are targetting a specific country, then use the TLD for that country. Something ending in .uk for the UK, .de for Germany, .fr for France etc. The UK is unusual in that it offers a number of options, .co.uk being the most common. In our opinion, unless you are a not-for-profit organisation (in which case use .org.uk) this is the extension you should always use. The other extensions (.ltd.uk, .net.uk) are too rarely seen to be of much use to you.

We would also recommend staying away from .uk.com as this isn’t actually a true TLD. Instead it is some enterprising organisation who registered the domain name .uk.com a long time ago selling off sub-domain names of their domain name. You will find your options with regards transferring the domain name etc. restricted if you buy one of these, and probably pay a premium too because there is only one company selling these domains.

If you operate on a global platform, then .com is the domain name to use. Although you can register .info, .org, .net etc. these domains are again relatively unseen. If you do not use the .com and instead register mycompanyxyz.net, then there is the possibility of a domain squatter registering mycompanyxyz.com. You can guarantee that more people looking for your website are likely to type in .com than .net, and therefore you will lose customers.

How Many Backlinks Does Your Website Have

By Ben Needles

When it comes to marketing your business on the Internet back links are extremely important. Unless you plan on purchasing your traffic for the rest of your life you are going to want to develop back links to your website.

Do you even know how many back links your website has? Most people do not and many do not really understand the importance of it.

A back link is when your website address is on somebody else’s website. That link is pointing back to your site and when somebody clicks on it you get a visitor.

It also gives search engines a way to find your site and it builds up the popularity of your site when you have a lot of back links.

Quality back links count too, and therefore having your website address on a highly visited website can increase the popularity of your site in the search engines eyes. Google even go so far as to have a page rank to determine the worth of a web page.

Your website should have a page rank as well. To increase your page rank you need to have more back links pointing to your site from pages that are equal or greater than the page rank of your own.

Enough on the technical aspects of back links, let’s talk about the importance of them in general. A back link is like a sidewalk leading up to the front door of your store.

If you could have sidewalks coming at you from thousands of different ways think how many more visitors you would have. This is exactly what a back link does for your business.

Back links are long term security and an actual way for your home business website to thrive. They are also an excellent way for you to get traffic on a continual basis, long after you’ve created a back link to begin with.

This is why top Internet marketers spend time developing links back to their site through various marketing avenues. Some of the most popular ways to create a back link include getting a link pointing back to your site through article marketing, forum marketing, commenting on blog posts, and so on.

The problem with paid advertising is that when you quit paying you stop having visitors. The reason for this is they do not have a way to find you!

A back link stays online indefinitely, and therefore potentially can create you traffic for many years to come. This is why it’s important that you understand how many back links your website has and have a plan to continue to increase those.

When it comes to marketing your business on the Internet back links are extremely important. Unless you plan on purchasing your traffic for the rest of your life you are going to want to develop back links to your website.

Do you even know how many back links your website has? Most people do not and many do not in truth empathise the importance of it.

Guidelines for Choosing A Web Designer

By Pankaj Govil

Choosing a web designer can seem like a daunting task. They come in all shapes and sizes – from freelancers working at home to glossy new media agencies, and there is as much variation in prices and service as there is in size. So how do you choose the right one for your business?

Select Your Marketplace

Firstly, decide what market you would like to select from: local, national, or overseas.

If you would feel more comfortable meeting your designer, and running through your project face to face (maybe it’s the kind of project that needs to “evolve”), and your ethos is “quality of service” rather than “Pile ‘em high, sell ‘em cheap” then a local web designer is for you. They can usually provide better back up, and be able to meet face to face to discuss your project and iron out any problems should they occur. For more details visit to www.oversightsystem.com.

If you are a bit more budget conscious, then it makes sense to select from a “wider pool”. Getting quotes from designers across your country will usually obtain a more competitive quote. What you lose in face-to-face service is made up for in cost savings, and all but the largest web projects can usually be sorted out via telephone and email these days.

For the extremely cost conscious and value for money orientated (some would even say “brave”!) there is the overseas market. If you know exactly what you are looking for and can explain your project thoroughly and clearly in writing, then there are huge savings to be made. But what you save in price is invariably countered by having to do a little more work on your side – particularly when it comes to communication!

Finding Web Designers

To find a list of local web designers consult your Yellow Pages (or equivalent) or do a web search for “web designer“ “your area”. Looking further a field, you can do a web search or check out directories such as www.recommended-web-designers.co.uk. For overseas designers, the latter offering the benefit of escrow and arbitration services.

Draw Up A Shortlist

Draw up a shortlist of 3 or 4 designers to speak to. You can do this by visiting their websites, getting a feel for the type and size of business they are and looking at their online portfolio. Then call them – ask them questions about the type of clients they work for, timeframes and any other technical questions you have. Get a feel for how they communicate – whether they are on the same wavelength as you.

If you opted to go overseas, the websites already mentioned have ratings systems which can help you decide, and you can also send and receive private messages to ask questions.

Get Quotes

Once you have your shortlist, you can get quotes. For a straightforward website this can be a simple fixed price – for a more complicated project that is likely to evolve, you may just want to get a budget price at this stage, and then pin down details and a fixed price with your preferred bidder later. To know more logon to www.magic-mini-site.comAlways specify your expected timeframe for completion when obtaining quotes as this can affect prices.

Get References

Once you have your preferred bidder, get references. Any established web designer will be able to provide details of satisfied clients. Email them and ask if they were happy with the service received, if the job was completed on time, how unforeseen problems were dealt with, etc.

Remember to trust your instincts: If you are not entirely happy with the references you obtain, walk away and select another designer.

Appoint Your Web Designer

You now have a fixed price, references, and confirmed timescale for your project. Now appoint your designer!

Most have standard agreements – read them carefully, and if in doubt get your legal adviser to look them over. Make sure timescales and project milestones are specified, as well as payment terms. Find out how alterations to your project are dealt with – in terms of cost and delays – and how disputes if they arise would be settled.

Finally, when you are completely happy, sign on the dotted line and look forward to a productive working relationship with your web designer!

Know About The Different Type of SEO Services

By Suri

There are different types of SEO services but there is no hard and fast rule for it. Some can cost a few rupees / dollars / pounds in a year. These are considered as cheap and affordable Web Promotion Services. In this case it is just submission of sites to search engines and directories and nothing beyond it. So going for such cheap and affordable SEO services is not a good idea at all. It is just looking at the cost consideration to get promotion tasks done.

There are also companies that offer services in the form of monthly management scheme. In this, there is a contract for SEO Services and companies perform web promotion and Internet Marketing activities for their clients. For more details go to www.seo-prediction.com. They look after the site and report to client every month. The cost factor varies in different countries according to the profile of the company, management needs and types of reports and services provided. This too can be considered as a just satisfactory and an optimum level where small business concerns want to get their new websites promoted and pushed ahead.

Then another type is dedicated SEO consultancy. You can not look at cost consideration if you need the quality in promotion tasks. In this type you can avail the services of seo consultants at any time; you can discuss your problems, queries and get a smooth flow of advice. Some consultants charge on hourly basis and some charge partially before the beginning of project and rest on the completion. However the payment terms may vary on the project basis. You can avail all types of services such as defining of keywords, writing of content on keyword basis, defining navigation structure, on page and off page optimization techniques and other internet marketing activities.

Finally there are SEO Services in the form of outsourcing. You can outsource your promotion work to different companies which are expertise in the web stream. Again cost factor differs in this case according to the quality and reputation of the outsourcing services provider. There are also companies that offer services in the form of monthly management scheme. In this, there is a contract for SEO Services and companies perform web promotion and Internet Marketing activities for their clients. This too can be in the form of consultancy. You can also avail specialization services in different streams like you can hire link building experts at cheap rates or manual directory submissions.

Looking at these different aspects of seo services it is recommended that among these you select that which suits best for your organization and according to your company need and goals otherwise you get confused leading you nowhere just wasting your precious time and money. For more details visit to www.huge-niche-keywords.com.

You just need to refer the specialized consultant who can advise you what kind of future promotion activities your company requires. Keep in mind that investment in SEO is still considered as crucial aspects and nothing is certain as search engines rules and algorithms keep on changing time to time and only an expert SEO Advisor with the background of their precious experience can guide you.

What Is Your Secret to Successful Web Design?

By Rajkhanna

Today, in the world of virtual marketplaces, it is necessary to have your presence felt online. However, with the exceeding competition, it is important to have a unique existence of yourself, whereby your prospects will be able to identify you and take serious note of you. Effective web design, therefore, is only a mandate, and if you want to be successful in this industry, these tips are going to be of assured assistance in that.

Content reigns supreme
The first and foremost aspect to take note of in making your web design successful is its content. Always make sure that the content is relevant to your website and that the visitors find it useful in what they are looking for. Once you have accomplished this part, you can rest assured of half the job being done.

Adhere to the subject
You cannot cater to just everyone – Once you have come to terms with this fact, it will be easy for you to design your website. So, keep your goal fixed in mind and try to stick to a particular subject of relevance, or your visitors will only find it confusing. Keeping your goal fixed and identifying your prospects will help you in the following steps of web design.

The first impression is the last
Consider the message you want to send across to your prospects. Make your landing page as interesting as possible, at the same time keeping in simple and precise. It is best to restrict this page to a short description of your website, prompting the visitors to delve deeper into the other pages. Do not keep this page too busy and make it interesting with relevant text messages and catchy graphics. It is also advised to buy your own domain name, instead of using “free hosting” services.

Design your site overall, not individual pages
Your primary concern, at any given point in time, should be your website’s overall design and not that of individual pages. Starting from scratch, any web design should make sense to the visitors and they should be able to relate to what you have to offer them. Maintaining a certain consistency throughout the website is, therefore, crucially important, or it may create a disruption that will cause your visitors to leave, causing your visitors to leave your site looking for better ones.

Make it painless for your visitors to get around the website
Make your website easy for your visitors to navigate through the website. Link consistently in a manner that is comprehensible to the visitors. Make sure that each page flows to another in a logical manner. Another important aspect of web design is linking to other sites. However, link only to those sites that are relevant to yours. You can also incorporate special links to your site at the end of each webpage. However, make sure that they do not stand odd.

Take a look at your own website, but this time, as a stranger
Viewing your website, as a stranger would, will help you accomplish better web design feat. If your website looks as you would want it as a visitor, be assured that you are almost there.

Keep your website updated
Keeping your website updated and current gives your visitors a reason for visiting it time and again, and this is definitely.

Things Required for Running a Successful Membership Site

By Navinder Deep Singh Bachhal

The purpose of membership websites is many and varied. Whilst the majority tends to be related to Internet marketing, membership websites are starting to diversify. In recent times I've seen sites that are related to cooking, self improvement and other topics that are of interest to a broader audience.

It’s only common sense that this new trend to choose non-internet niches will continue. Why compete in a fairly saturated market like Internet marketing when the membership world is literally your oyster? For more details visit to www.secure-member-area.com.

More and more people are discovering that setting up and running a membership site isn't the gargantuan task they may have thought it would be. Granted, it does take some work, research and study, but there are very few businesses that don't require at least some effort on your part.

Let's look at some things that are required to run a successful membership site.

1. Passion and Dedication
It's always easier to provide information, services and products to others if you have a keen interest in the product you are selling. If your only motivation for wanting to run a membership site is because you see others making money with them, then don't waste your time. Unless you are willing to put the time in to maintain and develop your site you will end up with a poor reputation and a lot of disgruntled members.

2. A Good Domain
If you've ever looked around at other membership sites you'll see that they nearly always have a relevant domain name. This is important as it is part of your branding. There are plenty of good examples of well thought out, branded membership sites. Names like Mr. Over Deliver and Surefire Wealth are good names that enhance the overall concept of the membership site and are easy to remember.

3. Starting Content
You usually can't start a membership site if you don't have any content. This could be information, scripts, e-books and/or your own products. When most people join a membership site they expect to see something that they can use straight away. If you have a large amount of content you don't necessarily have to offer it all up straight away. Keep in mind that your members will expect regular updates, so it's best to try to always over deliver. You can't do that if you've given everything out on day 1.

4. A Good Script
This is a topic in itself, but basically you need to work out your membership fees and structure first. You also need to be sure of how you are going to present your products and which payment methods and processors you will use. For more information logon to www.starting-membership-site.com. Once you know the answer to these questions you can look for a script that has the appropriate membership structures, can deliver your products in a way that suits your site and supports your payment processor(s).

5. Commitment
This is one of the most essential 'ingredients'. Whilst membership sites will, for the most part, run on autopilot, you still need to maintain and update them regularly. Provide a helpdesk and a forum where members can get in touch with you and interact with each other. Some of the best membership sites are thriving communities because they provide these features to their members.

So there you have it in a nutshell. You'll notice that I didn't mention anything technical. That's because with the range of membership scripts and information that is available the technical aspects and requirements have become quite a minor issue.

Yes, you really can run a membership site but to be successful it will take some time, dedication and work. The rewards for a well run membership site can be quite extraordinary though.

Discover 4 New Ways to Grow Your Article Marketing

By Kelly Marion

Article distribution remains to be one of the most effective ways to drive highly qualified traffic to your website. Although this tool will take ample amount of your time and energy (you will need to write and distribute 5-10 articles per day) it can bring you so much benefits. These include boosting the number of your inbound links and establishing your credibility in your chosen niche.

Here's how you can grow your article marketing:

1. Increase the number of your articles
This is one of the best ways to dominate this field. If you produce and distribute more articles, you'll be able to generate more traffic and more inbound links for your website. As you know, this can lead to increased sales and revenue. Strive to produce 5-10 articles per day and distribute them on all leading submission sites. To prevent content duplication issues, ensure that you slightly tweak your content so your articles will pass the plagiarism test.

2. Deliver quality content
If you want online users to read your articles and eventually click on your resource box, you better give them great content. Strive to load your articles with all the information they need. These might include information about their areas of interest, pressing issues, burning questions, and the things that they would like to learn. Remember, when you are able to inform or effectively educate these people, they are most like to consider you as someone knowledgeable on your chosen niche. This is very important in convincing these people to buy from you in the long run.

3. Bank on your titles
Interesting and attention-grabbing titles can make a huge difference to your marketing strategies. These are your most powerful weapons in establishing that initial connection with your potential clients. Get more people to open your articles by making your titles benefit-driven, concise, intriguing, and direct to the point.

4. Choose your topics wisely
It is very important to understand that not all types of topics will help you attract your potential clients. By this, I simply mean that if you are selling shoes, articles about laptops and mobile phones will not drive those people who are most likely to buy from you to your website. To ensure that you only attract quality traffic, write about something that will interest your target market. Aside from your products and services, you can also talk about the pressing issues and most frequent questions of these people.

Getting Your Feet Wet as You Go Learn About Internet Marketing

By Adrian Kennelly

Learning before you go out and start assembling the tools will help you keep the right attitude.

First, you will be able to sidestep grabbing the first tools you see and holding on to them as if they were the Holy Grail of marketing. While there are a lot of great support tools and software on the market today, there is also a lot of junk. Always follow the dictum - take a deep breath, step back for a moment, survey the field, evaluate, before you make a decision. Remind yourself that you are in an investigative mode. Make note of tools that pique your interest, but don't leap on them until you have learned more about Internet marketing and how to apply the tools. Then you will be in a better position to evaluate what value, if any, a particular tool has to your marketing model and plan.

Second, do not set yourself up to fail before you even begin. Like the old saying goes, "too many cooks spoil the broth." Engulfing yourself with a bunch of tools in a random fashion will only serve to confuse you and scatter your attention from your goals.

Keep focused, keep moving forward. This will prevent you from getting bogged down in details that are not yet essential for you. Above all, it is absolutely necessary that you meet every challenge with questions about how to turn the situation around and make it into an opportunity. Remember every challenge or problem is nothing more than an opportunity in disguise.

There will always be challenges, but an individual who is dedicated to the concept of becoming the best in his chosen field will see these situations as stepping stones to success, rather than a brick wall.

One thing to realize is that no matter how positive you try to be, there will be days when it seems like nothing you study is making sense. Recognize that you will have those days, but also remind yourself that every successful person from the beginning of time has also had them.

When you feel the frustration level rising to the point that it threatens to undermine your positive mindset to your marketing studies, it is time to take a short break. Push back the chair, turn off the computer, and get out of the house. Go to a movie, take a walk, have coffee with friends. The point is to change your location, the view around you, and the focus of your attention for a short period of time.

Giving yourself this short break will do wonders for your cognitive abilities. Chances are very good that when you return to your computer and pull up your study documents, things will make a great deal more sense.

Remember, you can be whatever you want to be. All you have to do is take the time to equip yourself with the knowledge and skills you need to reach your goals. This may not happen overnight, but if you keep your chin up, work hard, and assimilate what you need, your confidence in your ability will grow and you will get where you want to go.

How to Take Your Ebook Writing to the Next Level

By Gen Wright

With more and more people writing and selling their own ebooks, now is the perfect time to take your ebook writing to the next level. Here’s how you can do that:

1. Choose your topics wisely
95% of your success in ebook writing will depend on your topics. If you go with those ones that are extremely interesting to your potential clients or popular online, you can be assured that your book sales will soar high. Don’t do the guessing game when choosing your topics and don’t just rely on what you know. It would help if you can do a keyword research to easily figure out what your potential clients are looking for. You can also directly communicate with your readers through blogs and forums or send them surveys through your autoresponders to know exactly what they want.

2. Deliver informative ebooks
Online users will spend their money on your ebooks for one good reason: they would like to be informed. Don’t let them down by making sure that your ebooks contain all the information that they are looking for. It would help if you can do your research or work together with other experts on your chosen niche to obtain more information that can make your ebooks content-rich.

3. Help your readers
By this, I simply mean deliver information that can be useful or helpful to your readers. Offer answers to their burning questions, information about their hobbies and other areas of interest, solutions to their pressing issues, and some instructional texts that can empower these people to do things on their own.

4. Add some human touch
You can better connect with your readers if you make them feel that the content is really intended for them. Make use of “you” and “your” more often, strive to sound friendly, warm, spontaneous, and use conversational tone all throughout your content.

5. Love what you do
This will definitely set you apart from the rest. If you like what you are doing and if you take pride in helping your readers, there is no doubt that you’ll be able to produce high quality ebooks.

6. Be different
Did you know that the best way to get lost in the plethora of writers online is to not have your own identity? Don’t be somebody else’s copycat. Instead, strive to be different or unique and be known for it. Always think out of the box and be innovative.

How To Make More And Work Less With A Residual Income Opportunity

By Gen Wright

The internet is the land of opportunities for entrepreneurs to start over. Nobody dreams of working 60 or 70 hours a week just to make enough to get by. With a residual income opportunity you can start making more while working less.

If you want to be able to take time off whenever you choose to and not fall behind with work, this is the ultimate opportunity. It is the initial work that can be a bit strenuous, but you will be rewarded greatly following these efforts. Also referred to as passive income, residual income is money made that does not require your direct involvement.

You are probably familiar with a few different kinds of opportunities that allow you to make residual income. Some of your options include owning rental property or having royalties on an invention or some kind of creative work. Network marketing presents you with the ability to make a great deal of residual income several different ways.

The most common method internet marketers make this type of income online is by creating an e-book. The thought of having to write a book does not appeal to many. People assume it has to be some 100 page book that goes into extreme details. However, you can get away with a 20 to 30 page book as well.

You want your e-book to act as an instructional manual of some sort. If you write a proficient e-book, you can profit from it the rest of your life. While it does take time to write the book, you have to do no work after it has been written. You can sit back and collect your earnings.

The other popular residual income opportunity online is selling software. There is a dire need for software with most businesses online to stay with or ahead of the competition. You do not necessarily have to create the software. All you have to do is promote it and make money off of it.

While no one wants to work 60 hours a week, most people do not desire to work their entire lives. By jumping into a residual income opportunity, you can set yourself up nicely for retirement. And with the economy the way it is now, it is nice to think positively about the future. It does not matter if you have had a business for a while or are just starting out. The time is now for you to find your opportunity to make residual income.

How To Write An Article That Converts To Sales

By Debbie Allen

Writing articles is not hard to do but if you want an article that will really work for you then you will need to use a few proven techniques. Articles that convert to sales have to meet certain criteria. To begin with they have to be read in order to get a click-through. Articles without punchy or attention grabbing titles are likely to be passed by without being read or published.

Therefore, attention must be paid to the title. Keywords should be included as this will help the article to get noticed by the people you are targeting. Titles that are too short often go unnoticed and titles that are too long may be avoided by publishers. So carefully craft a title that is of appropriate length, uses keywords and grabs attention.

Articles should begin with an introductory paragraph. This paragraph should let the reader know what the article will be about and it should also include the keywords. In essence, this paragraph will tell the reader what you will be telling them in the rest of the article.

It is important that the article be formatted in a way that appears to provide a quick and easy read. People are in a hurry and they want to be able to skim over an article if it pleases them. By using short sentences and concise paragraphs the formatting looks nicer and the article is easy to read. Bulleted lists also add to the ease of reading.

One sentence should flow right into the next. Pretend that you are talking with a friend and explaining the subject matter. Your words and sentences would have a nice flow to them. That is exactly what you want to happen with your writing. You need to be informative but in a way that is entertaining to the reader. Your reader should want to read the next sentence.

Throughout the article you should pepper your keywords. But do not over do it. Again, go back to how you would use those terms if you were talking with a friend. Make the flow natural and only use the keywords when they fit in.

The final paragraph should be a summary of what the article has discussed. It should directly tie in with the introduction. Additionally, it should leave the reader reading, this is so that the resource box will get read.

The resource box should continue the flow of the article. Your goal is to get the reader to read this information and to click through to your links. Give the reader a reason to do that. Entice him with a great offer such as a free report or special discount. Do not forget to add your keywords in the resource box.

By carefully crafting your articles you will find that they do create sales and establish you as an authority in your field. Your profits will increase and your credibility will soar.

Reasons Why You Should Hire A Web Designer

By Kristi Ambrose

If you are going to have an online business or work from home for yourself, it's a good idea to get a website going. Now, this website doesn't need to be all glitz and all glam. Just something professional, neat, organized and user-friendly will do. The point of doing this yourself, is to save money. Unfortunately if you don't know anything about web design, web development, or coding in general, you could potentially end up screwing up your site or just going bonkers trying to figure everything out on your own.

In the long run, hiring a designer is really something that will pay off in the end, and thankfully for us, it's not as expensive as you may think it is. And even if it is $50-$100 more than if you did it yourself, so what! Now you can concentrate on what's really important, the business, rather than the design. No more headaches, no more stressing out, no more frustrations. Just tell the designer what you want, what you don't want, and provide he or she with everything such as logos, graphics, photos, and they will take care of it for you!

Just as a Chef knows her way around a kitchen, a web designer knows his way around a web page. They will set everything up for you. Now what's nice about these designers is for the most part when they offer web design they will also offer other things such as logo design, web domains, development, hosting, etc. This is a great "one stop shop" for people that are looking to build a big website, but they just don't have the time to go searching around for 10 different people to do 10 different things to their website!

A few years back I hired on a designer to take care of my photography site for me, he set up the template I bought, installed it onto my hosting account, set up the cpanel, re-sized my photos, did my logo, for a mere $450. Now that might seem like a lot of money, but just think about how professional the site looked, and from the profits I made alone, it covered the cost of the designer two fold. This really is a superb thing to look into if you either have a small job or a large job. These guys can definitely get it done for you easily, quickly, and inexpensively, check it out!

Get The Right Host For Your Website Or Blog

By Richard Lang

When starting a website or blog, there are several important details you will want to pay close attention to. It is vital you take the time to research your target market, learn what people are looking for, and find an effective domain name. The host you opt to go with deserves just as much attention as it can have a large impact on your success.

You never realize some of the most important pieces of life until they are missing or hurt. The same can be said about the hosting company you choose. The hosting company is the company who provides you with server space so your website or blog is live and active. It allows people to come to your site and see what you have to offer.

If the server is down and your hosting allows it to remain down, you will notice. However, if everything is running smoothly the last thing you are going to think about is the hosting company. This is exactly why you want to take the time to find a safe and reliable host.

There are a few things you want to look at when selecting a company to provide hosting for your website or blog. The first thing you want to look at is how reliable the company is. No matter how good a company is, there is bound to be a time when your server will be down. Therefore, find out how often the hosting company goes down.

In addition to this, you want to find out approximately how long it takes them to fix the problem. If something goes wrong and they fix the problem within minutes, it really is not that bad of a problem. But if they allow your website or blog to be inactive for several hours or even an entire day, that is valuable business you could be losing.

Lastly, you want to find out how easy it is to contact the hosting company and actually speak with a representative if you ever need to. If there is a problem with your hosting and something is not right about your website or blog, you need to be able to contact them immediately. The longer it takes to get a hold of them, the longer it will be before you can begin creating business again.

Although it is not the most noticeable feature to your business, the hosting company you choose can have a drastic impact on the success of your business. Take the time to research and find the safest and most reliable host to keep your website or blog up and running smoothly.

An Online Business For Web Designer And Developer

By Ben Needles

A friend of mine, a web developer came up to me and asked if I have any idea on how to start a business online. I, a web designer, for one can not believe that I’m making a business of the internet much so that I got intrigued and excited about him making an effort to start an online business. He already has a very high salary, working as a head web developer of a very known company. So I already have an idea that my friend wouldn’t quit his job anytime soon. But I’m quite happy for him for making the effort of starting his own business and earn an income online.

He was my professor back in college, having the same passion for learning, he is very successful with his career and so am I on my chosen path. He asked me, “What’s the best blogging platform?” I said, “Wordpress, most blogs are wordpress.” He already have an idea on how to get started but really have no clue of the process of actually making money. I asked, “What’s cooking?” He said, “I went up looking at an entrepreneur magazine looking up for a business to start, then I realized I’m a web developer. There must be some way to make business out of it. Then I remembered you. You are the prof now. Can you help me?”

Of course I can. Here are some of the tips that I said to him.

* Blog about your passion if it’s profitable - Many people will say that, i.e. blog about your passion. Well it depends, you don’t want to starve, do you? You must take priority of your needs first so you can quit your job early. If you can blog about your passion and there’s a market for it, go for it. That’s 2 birds in 1 stone. Know if the topic is profitable first, then make a site around it. Personally, I’m a believer of delayed gratification. The first things we have to do when making a business online is to get paid and not starve. Blogging about my passion may give me the joy, but it’s useless to continue if I starve. What’s the point of doing business and quitting your job then if you can’t make a living about your passion?

* Invest in yourself - The reason why most people fail in business, especially making money online is that not many people are willing to sacrifice and spend some money to learn. Bloggers are known to be tech savvy and will do anything to get things for free. But real entrepreneurs know the value of knowledge so much that they are willing to spend time and money to attain it. I had an experience wasting 10,000 pesos trying to learn PPC. Did it really went to waste? No! I learned PPC a little bit and might take more money to get a grasp on it. But I’m willing to spend to educate myself.

* Stop reading make money online blogs - The best way to make money online is to go out there and try it yourself. Shed some money if you have to. That will be your foundation. Just stop reading make money online blogs. No offense to the make money online bloggers, I know it’s their passion to blog about making money. But being a newbie once in this field, make money online blogs didn’t really help. It’s better to read SEO blogs for SEO, affiliate marketing for making money as an affiliate or self improvement blogs for your business mentality. If I have found a good make money online blogs that teach people the truth and really make money, I would gladly advertise it on my site.

* Learn SEO - This is the bread and butter of online business. Learn real SEO from keyword research to promoting a site. Stop reading make money online blogs. Learn from the real experts in SEO, read SEOmoz, or ask at webmaster forums.

* Choose only 1 type of monetization - If you’re going for adsense, go for it and no more. Do not put competition on your page. There is the thing we call in business Diversification, this is true as to not put all your eggs in one basket. But it doesn’t mean put all banner ads or adsense on the page that you can fit. In reality, what it means is that, don’t put all your effort into 1 site. Putting a thousand of ads in your site will not only make your site look desperate, it will lack the credibility for affiliate offers and direct advertisers.

* Choose a niche - Blog about a specific niche. Do not blog about anything under the sun. If you’ll be monetizing the site with direct advertising, you know that these companies only want people that are viewing the ads that are related to their interest. Would you sell a guitar to a piano player? Having to blog anything without any specific topic will give advertisers the second thought of advertising with you. It’s because your viewers and traffic are junk that came from different sorts of life.

* Quit your job when you’re making twice as much online - This should have been my goal back then when I quit my job. It could’ve been a lot easier. It took me about 3 hard and sleepless months stumbling and starving to get my passive income as much as my day job and another 3 months to double it. Well it’s a good strategy to quit early though. For me, I had fun, if I didn’t make money within this certain period of month, I’m gonna fail my parents and die hungry.

Are You Being Sociable?

By James Slader

Sometimes affiliate marketing can be a lonely business. You sit in front of your personal computer every day looking at traffic statistics. You constantly write articles and send them to your quality article distribution service. Maybe you write product reviews and brandable reports. However, are you connecting with people on a regular basis? Being sociable can open up new markets for your affiliate products.

Being sociable on the Internet means visiting chat portals, blogs, and forums. It also means responding personally, not via automated responses, to e-mails you receive for more information on an affiliate product. The more times potential customers see you as a person, and not a walking commercial, the better.

Those people who comprise your niche market want something of value from you. When you visit a chat site or forum related to your affiliate topic, go there with the intent to inform. Do not go there as a veggie-slicer TV salesperson pressing for a sale.

When you engage in discussions with like-minded individuals concerning your affiliate topic show them you are an expert in the subject. Give them useful information and point them to where they can access more information. Let them know where your website is and where your in-depth article content resides. Don't recite scripted sales letters to them on a chat site or a forum venue. The selling part of your job comes later. You are engaging here in pre-selling conversation.

Visiting blogs is a tool to grow your affiliate business. When you check out web blogs that deal with topics related to your affiliate product, leave comments. In your comments, place a link to your website. If you leave intelligent comments that answer questions posed, you encourage a reader to check you out further. Take the time to check out the plethora of blogs on the web. Make a list of the ones appropriate to your affiliate topic. Schedule time to post relevant comments on these chosen blogs each week.

It's the same with e-mail correspondence. Your affiliate website may encourage feedback and questions from your visitors. You encourage this so you can provide more affiliate product information to a potential customer. You also encourage this so you can build your list.

When visitors to your site request more information do you just send out a pre-written automated response? While there is nothing wrong with that, it doesn't hurt to answer some e-mails personally. You cannot answer all of them, or even a third of them. You can answer, however, a sampling of them on a monthly basis. You build customer relationships this way.

Answering a handful of e-mails personally on a regular basis means changing the subject line so it's more personal. If you do not, it will appear as just a sales type response and may get the big "X" for deletion. Address your e-mail personally to the person receiving it and put a short personal message in the subject line to encourage opening.

Take the time to be sociable when it comes to affiliate marketing. When you engage in one on one conversation with potential customers, you breathe life into your business. Let's face it, affiliate marketing can seem highly impersonal at times. Make your affiliate business more personal and get those persons showing up as traffic to your website.

Comparing Writer Training Programs

By Tiva Kelly

If you're a novice at the article writing and article-marketing game then you are probably looking for training to improve your efforts. There are many different article distribution services ready to accept your article submissions. However, do they all provide that additional writers' training you may desire?

When you investigate article distribution services, look at all they have to offer. Sure, you want a service that offers widespread distribution of your articles. That's important, but so are those writers' training services that some provide. Those training programs help you write better, and faster, so you get more of your articles into circulation. When looking at services, check to ensure their writers' training services are current. Check to see if they offer any new software programs, or other resources to help your article writing efforts.

We'll consider a few article distribution services advertising their services to see if they offer writer training. A look at iSnare's site shows that you have to sign-up as a member to get more information. They do show that if you sign up for their platinum membership you’ll receive extra benefits. These include more exposure for your articles under a platinum membership. They will also include a full-page biography about you as a writer. However, their service seems geared to promoting your articles, not helping you write those articles. They do not trumpet an article-writing training program on their site.

The same goes with the Phantom Writers article distribution service. They offer an extensive article distribution service but do not promote an in-house training program for writers. They do have a recommended resources section where they offer information. Investigating that link, you will find an article-marketing book you can purchase. You will also find a link to a home-study writing course you can purchase.

SubmitYourArticle does offer a resource to help novice writers learn about article writing and marketing. They provide an extensive help library to those who sign up for their service. This resource library contains tips and useful information on writing articles and getting them published. For any writer these resource articles are valuable when wanting to upgrade article writing and article marketing skills.

Article Marketer offers a broad range of resources for article writers. They offer their Article Marketer University, which is full of useful training items one can access. These include podcasts, audio on demand, and e-books available for download. The great thing is they provide all of these resources free of charge. They also offer free article writing software for download to help you write more efficiently.

An example from their site of audio on demand is a sixty-minute audio on doubling your writing speed. An example of one of their downloadable e-books is "Article Marketing with Blogs and RSS". These are just two examples of the plethora of resources available to writers on the Article Marketer site. In addition, Article Marketer offers their users a Best Practices Guide to Article Marketing. This is so those engaging in an article promotion campaign will know what editors and publishers require.

Make sure, when you investigate article distribution services that you go beyond the basics. Whether you sign up for a free or paid membership, you want more than just article distribution. You want any training and mentoring available.

There's a horde of content on the Worldwide Web. You want yours to stand out. Proper article writing and article marketing training will help your content get the attention it deserves. Therefore, don't settle for so-so. Settle for a service that really offers you a full complement of resources so you write and promote your articles in the best way possible.

With more traffic, you get to earn more from your site making it profitable. A sites success, be it for profit or not, is the number of the flow of traffic in your site.

So how does good content and great articles get you traffic? Well, many search engines rely on the keywords and keyword phrases of a site to put it in their results list. If your content contains a good number of keywords and keywords phrases, it may be chosen to be a part of the top listed sites in the search result pages.

But before you think of just plastering your site with all the keywords and keyword phrases it could hold, search engines also filter out that abuse. You must have good well written articles that incorporate the keywords and keyword phrases properly in their content and articles.

This is a small price to pay for having a content rich site or for a well researched and written paper.

The top sites would probably be the best since they have done a good job of keeping their content at a high quality to get them high rankings. But you may also want to shop around and read some of their sample work to get an idea of how much it will cost you.

Secrets To Rocket Start a Booming Ebay Business

By Parmod Bansali

For serious entrepreneurs, however, selling on eBay can be a good way to start a new business if you are willing to put in the time and energy required to make the business a success. eBay is also a good option for existing businesses to expand their reach by selling online.

Everyone from small used car dealers to giant companies like Dell Computers have discovered that eBay is an excellent place to hawk their wares simply due to the huge number of folks who visit the eBay site on a daily basis. Nowhere else on earth will you find such a large pool of potential customers.

Consider these numbers:

• There are nearly 69 million eBay users who spend $59 million every day.

• Most eBay sellers are home-based businesses that sell everything from porcelain dolls to locks of Elvis' hair to $100,000 Mercedes convertibles to $5 million dollar vacation homes.

• Every minute of every day more than 150 new items are listed for sale, more than 500 bids are placed, and seven new people register to shop on eBay.

• At any given moment, eBay is conducting some 12 million auctions, divided into about 18,000 different categories.

• About two million new items are offered for sale every day, and 62 million registered users scour the site to find them.

When it comes down to the mechanics of it all, running an eBay business is no different than running a brick and mortar business. You still have the same considerations regarding product selection, inventory purchasing, product pricing, inventory management, order processing, fulfillment, customer service, etc.

One of the biggest obstacles to building a successful eBay business may be the stiffness of the competition. Many sellers sell identical items and the price wars often get ugly, but that's to be expected in a free market place, which is exactly what eBay is.

So, can you build a profitable business selling on eBay?

Certainly, thousands of people have done it and so can you.

Here are a few tips to help get you started:

Sell Quality Products
Don't sell junk! Leave the knick-knacks and fake leather jackets to the less informed. You should offer only quality products at a fair price.

Research The Competition
Once you have your product in mind, don't invest a dime on inventory until you have spent some time on eBay to see what the competition is doing. If you want to sell motorcycle helmets, for example, you should look at current auctions to see how many others are selling similar helmets and what prices they are charging.

Test, Test, Test
A fair portion of eBay auctions result in no sales, so it's best to test the waters before jumping in with both feet.

List a few items and see how they sell. If an item doesn't sell, list it at least twice more. Some items might not sell the first time, but may the second or third, then sell steadily from then on.

If an item gets no bids the first time, consider adjusting your price or your terms. If an item sells well, keep it in stock and then experiment with another item.

Do Your Homework
eBay is too broad a subject to be covered fully here, but there are a multitude of books available that can help you start an eBay business. In fact, I bet you'll find most of them for sale at this very moment at eBay.

Email Reputation Crucial To Make Money With The Internet

By Ben Needles

Over the last decade or so, several polls and tests have been performed that observe various aspects which make a web page reputable on the Internet. Even though there exist several different explanations to this interesting question, several professionals agree that how much money you make with the Internet holds a direct correlation with a site’s email reputation and not necessarily the quality of content that you produce. A company’s email reputation is much more important to making money with the Internet than other things such as content.

With many of the situations concerning emails and online businesses, people do not ever read the text or if they do, they only skim over the text briefly. People decide to open certain emails by only looking at the title of the email and also at who sent it. If the email was sent by a reputable online business or Internet site, then people will be more willing and have a stronger desire to open the email and look at what you have to offer.

Probably the most crucial job that you must accomplish as an online business owner is to determine what kinds of successful methods will allow you to strengthen your email reputation and ultimately make money with the Internet. There are many ways that you can build the reputation of your emails, and this particular article will talk about a few of the major problems that studies have found in emails that are blocked by ordinary online users. If you quickly apply effective methods to your emails and also eliminate any of the problems that you have, then your site will become more popular on the Internet and you will also become more financially profitable as time goes on.

When online visitors get email messages that are very big and contain a lot of content, they will usually delete them in order to free up space for more important and personal emails that they want to receive. You should design and create your emails in such a way so that they remain small and short so that people will first open them and second, read what you have to offer. If an email has too much content and is overbearingly long, then people will definitely not have the desire to read such a long and tedious email.

Online visitors enjoy getting email messages that are directly created for them and that are not just created by an online auto responder. The business owners that take the time out to personalize every email that they send will soon reap the rewards of providing such valuable customer service to potential visitors. You should try to personalize as many emails as you can so that people are attracted to your kindness and great sense of customer service.

When you write and design email messages, you should publish link icons into your email text so that online visitors have a chance to actually come to your site without any trouble. If you highlight these links in your emails, then you will build your sites reputation and also be able to make money with the Internet.

Easy 7 Secrets of Super AdSense Earners

By Jasmine

Then you have the "Super AdSense" earners. We have all heard of them... the Elite few who are on track to make half a million dollars a year or more promoting AdSense sites.

Do not be mistaken though... these people are not building like your Mom and Pop's do. They have systems in place that create sites for them... people who build sites for them... they have outsourced and automated many of the tedious tasks such as posting to blogs and searching for keywords.

While most people cannot emulate everything these Super AdSense earners do... many of them you can.

Here are 7 Required Steps you can implement today to copy their success.

1) Starting today... treat your AdSense business like it is a REAL business and track what you do.

Begin tracking what you are doing that works... as well as what you are doing that does not work. This will keep you from making the same mistakes over and over, and you can repeat the steps that have worked in the past. As simple as this step seems... most people do not know the reason(s) to their success or failure.

2) Utilize the latest tools and software available.

The Super AdSense earners are not any smarter than your average person. I know many people think they are... but for the most part, they are regular non techie people.

They are smarter in one respect though... they use the latest tools available to them to automate most of the tasks involved with researching and creating sites. They use the latest keyword, site creation and search engine optimization tools available. The tools they use are their secret weapons.

3) Quit chasing the Mega Dollar keywords.

You cannot compete with the search engine experts who create sites for the $80 payout keywords. You may get lucky every now and then... but in the long run, you are better off building sites for the low to mid range payout keywords. The competition is less, and your chance of success is much higher over the long term.

4) Choose broad niches and break it down.

Choose a broad subject as your main theme (lets use computers for an example). From there... break it down into as many sub niches as possible.

Using Computers as the example... you could build sub niches/sites like laptop computers, computer hard drives, computer keyboards, etc, etc. You could literally build hundreds of sites around one major theme and stay totally focused. Once you have exhausted every possible sub niche of that major theme... choose another main theme and repeat the process.

5) KISS

Keep your sites easy to navigate and forget the fancy graphics that distract your visitors attention. Unless you are just building AdSense sites for the fun of it and to impress your friends... the purpose of having the site is to have people click on one of the ads, right? Then keep the site layout simple... dump the scrolling banners, dancing chickens and colored scroll bars... they are distractions.

6) What is the purpose of your web site?

Your web site cannot be everything to everybody. If you have a full fledged ecommerce site, with products for sale... links to other products, it is not a good site for AdSense. If the primary focus of the site is to sell products... let it do that.

Do not distract or confuse your visitor with to many options or choices. The best AdSense sites are AdSense only content sites that sell nothing. They are sites that "Tell"... not "Sell."

7) Be consistent.

This is not one of those deals where you build one site and you are done. Refer back to Step #4. You must continuously build in order to be successful.

Think of it as planting a crop that you will harvest in a month or two, and the sites you build are seeds. Once the seeds have grown and matured... you will reap the harvest. The more seeds you plant... the larger the harvest.

To sum it up... utilize the tools available to automate as much of the process of building sites - doing research and building keyword lists as you can. This alone will help keep you organized and on track. Be consistent in building... treat it like the business it is and you will reap the rewards of your harvest.

What are the Advantages Of Interlinking: SEO

By Darshan

Many webmasters spend a lot of time optimizing their home page only. They do this by optimizing onpage factors like H1 tags, title, keyword density, alt tags, etc, and offpage factors like the number and quality of inward links from other sites. That's fine and is something you should definitely do, but you should also take some time to optimize all of your inner web pages as well.

This is because if you can get a good pagerank for all of your inner pages, as well as your home page, it increases the chances of these pages being ranked highly in the search engines for their chosen keywords, and increases the number of visitors you could get.

So how do you achieve this? Well, firstly I recommend that all of your main web pages are just one click away from your home page. You should have a well-structured navigation menu on your home page. Each link within the menu should be an anchor text link containing your main keyword(s). For example, let's say you had an inner page about hair loss. Now you may have done keyword research and found the term "hair loss" to be too competitive, so let's say you have decided to optimize your web page for the less competitive term "male hair loss". In this example, your link from the navigation menu should be "male hair loss" rather than "hair loss".

You can dramatically enhance this interlinking structure and boost the pagerank of your inner web pages further by including this navigation menu on all of your inner web pages. This means that all of your main inner web pages are always just one click away and will dramatically boost the number of inward links that each page has. This can be very powerful because with higher pagerank and more links comes higher search engine rankings, but surprisingly is something that many so-called SEO experts fail to recognise.

Another way of achieving this effect if you do not want to include a navigation menu on every page is by including a link tree on every one of your inner pages. These are those links that you often find at the bottom of pages, and are again a very good way of interlinking your web pages. As before, be sure to include your main keyword(s) within each link.

I personally include a left-hand navigation menu on all of my websites, as well as a link tree at the bottom of each web page. This ensures not only that each page of each site has the maximum number of internal inward links, which boosts my pagerank and search engine rankings, but also ensures that the visitors to the site are always just one click away from each main page of the site. This is important if they enter at one of your inner pages, because often they will then want to navigate to the home page.

To conclude, to rank highly in the search engines, you should focus on on-page optimization, and more so off-page optimization. Just as every inward link to your site from another website acts as a vote for your site, and boosts your pagerank and search engine rankings, a link from another page within your site also acts as a vote and will also have a positive effect on your ranking. A good interlinking structure within your site will ensure that every page is fully optimized and has the optimum number of links from your other pages allowing you to rank higher for all of your inner pages as well as your home page.

How Can You Make Your Site Outrageously Successful With Keywords

By Parmod Bansali

Have you ever wondered why some websites are outrageously successful while others wallow in the depths of cyberspace? Well, the answer to the riddle is words. In the game of the internet, use the right words and you win, use the wrong words and you lose. It's that simple.

One common mistake a lot of businesses make is to add a website to their marketing toolbox without really considering how to use it. You see the problem is, even though you need your website to help market and grow your business, what you actually need first is a strategy to promote your website.

Your primary goal must be to attract visitors to your site because without them, the whole game plan comes undone. If you intend to rely heavily on free search engine traffic for your website exposure and your site never makes it past position #200 on the search engine results pages, chances are no-one is ever going to know you exist because few people bother to look past the first four pages of results.

There are literally billions of websites out there all hoping one day to make it into the top 20. Sadly, most will languish in the wait or just give up trying. So what do you do to make it happen? Well a good place to start is with keywords.

It's important to understand that the web is driven by people entering search terms or 'keywords' into their search engine browser windows. If you're wondering what people are looking for, that is where you'll find the answers. So the starting point is to develop your site content around the terms (keywords) that people are searching for that relates to your business. After all, there's no point in creating a site that focuses on widgets if people are actually searching for woggles.

If you use the right keywords on your website pages, you make it easier for the search engines to match up your content with someone's search request and you're well on your way to having a successful site. It doesn't pay to just take a guess at these keywords. You need to know exactly what terms people are using in their searches. Online keyword databases are an invaluable tool for this research.

Another strategy that will assist your campaign and score you some extra points with the search engines is to choose a domain name for your website that includes your chosen keyword(s). Lets' say you have a gardening company and your main product is a new hybrid rose you've developed called RoseX.

Now if you create a website with a domain name that is simply the name of your company, chances are your site will get little traffic because few people will be searching for your company name. But if you have confirmed that RoseX is a popular keyword that maybe thousands of people are searching for, it would make a lot of sense to include that keyword in your domain name as well as on your sites pages.

It's all about giving the search engines what they want. Of course there is a lot more to consider in pursuing a top position in search engine results, but without the right words, it's not going to happen.
